I am picking up my two boxes today from the post office. Anyone else busting this? I love the look of the cards, really colorful. And the booklet cards are eye catching from what I've seen!

I bought a Puckett base card from this set last night. No idea he was even in the product. Anybody have a checklist?

If either of you pull any Puckett cards I would love to work out a deal for them.

We busted a couple last night and hit some dang nice card. We did hit the National Treasures Black Patch Auto 1/1 of Wil Myers! BOOOOOOM.

I think people are expecting that this was going to be like NT, but at half the price, you should expect half the content. We also hit a 1/1 Eddie Murray, Posada Auto /5, amongst a bunch of other cool stuff.

Hits and misses all over the place.

Saw 4 popped by one customer yesterday. Best hits were redemptions of Myers and Profar as well as an Eckersley sticker auto /10.

Books were: Austin Jackson/Curtis Granderson dual jersey, Rosario/Rutledge dual jersey, and rookie auto books from Gregorius and Scott Van Slyke.

I don't think im quite sold on this yet....that said, there are far worse products out there in the baseball market right now. I saw a case break that was awful (all of the booklets were the dual jumbo GU) and a case that seemed pretty solid. Really like the looks of the NT rookies. Hopefully the higher end guys will be on card and have patches for the parallels. Those would be some of the best cards to have of the RCs IMO if they are.

The base designs on some of it look like crap...but I do like the inclusion of the silhouettes GU. Some of the low numbered inserts I imagine will do pretty well. Also a lot of autos of minor guys...but guys who don't sign a lot and might have the chance to retain a little value. In one of the cases I saw one of the books was a dual auto of Vinny Castilla and Andres Gallaraga. That's just really cool to me. Two guys who were in their prime when I was growing up and REALLY into baseball. Two cheap autos, but done in a way that its unique AND has value to collectors and flippers.

The design of some of the stuff is god awful, but thats all I can really fault them for. Everytime I read a panini thread I want to slap the people who XXXXX about not having logos. If its not topps, they aren't going to have logos. Deal. Its not like Panini made a decision on logos vs. no logos and decided to keep them off. They just can't do it...and that fact is VERY well known. If the rest of the card looks good, I don't really care about a logo. Id bet most fans of players who had multiple teams don't either. Im sure Ripken and other collectors get a little butt hurt when they don't get an Os logo on a card....but the fact is that Panini IS making the best stuff of the 70s, 80s and 90s guys...hands down, logo or not.

I like that Hicks signed his jersey swatch on his cards rather than the spot on the card reserved for the signature! Wish more athletes would do that.

Opened my two boxes, best hits were:

Can auto (redemption I'm keeping)
Schilling auto /25
Rickey Henderson/ Dennis eckersley dual jersey booklet
Scott rice logo patch /10

Not the greatest but it was a fun rip!

Only bad thing is between the cano and sterling I've got redemptions piling up I can't enter yet...
