Nice to see Topps (promise) of pulling a Panini with a weekly redemption update.

Speaking of Panini, obtained a 2012 Prizm Brett Lawrie redemption a while ago, redeemed it, and just two days ago in the mail was a *gasp!* 2012 Prizm Brett Lawrie! ;) Awesome, Panini!

So in other words in 2 years (when all the redemptions expire) these boxes will be worth 1/4 (if not less) of what they used to be...

IMO, this product and other heavy redemption products like tier one, should not have expirations on redemptions, or at least a longer redemption time allocated.

This may help a bit. Just tweeted by Topps --

I don't feel any better about this. I'm still counting on them to fill the redemption. Who knows if they just got these reds, or if they got all of them, or if this is even Photoshopped. Sorry, but I've lost any and all faith in Topps to honor anything. Topps is on a COD policy with me, too many redemptions and I'll pass until they show a better track record. Panini has as many or more than Topps but you know what, they have improved their customer service and actually fulfill the vast majority of their redemptions.

At this very least, they need to end the expiration dates. The sheer number of redemptions in this product coupled with the fact almost anyone worth pulling isn't live is beyond absurd.

I was really looking forward to busting my case tonight. Now, not so much. And yes I'm a sucker for buying one. Conned by the checklist - just like 2010 and we all know how that turned out. Topps is blowing it again with a product that should have been really strong and buzz worthy.

While I agree that this is transparecy, coming less than a week before release is kinda bullXXXX. This isn't in an effort to help collectors; this is admitting to something just before you got caught.

What I would love is to see some legal or MLB-enforeced policy that, if a product is going to contain 15% or more redemptions, then Topps is not allowed to put an expiration date on them. Legally speaking, how is having almost 50% of a promised item NOT included in a product not considered "bait-and-switch"?

It's not as bad as it seems....but yes, there are a lot of redemptions. Did a case yesterday and feel that I did well, but 2 of my 3 best autos were indeed redemptions. Wil Myers, Bundy, and Yelich seem to all be live....but this will be rough for rip and flippers as the redemptions will kill SOME of the secondary value.

It's a shame though because the product has a decent checklist, lots of color and parallels and is nicely done.

I wish Topps had Levy-hands, not Shaq-hands.
