2014 Teams have a 5 day exclusive window to their FA's, after that they are free to sign elsewhere....Who do you like on your team next year?

I can see the Mets signing Cuddyer as a stop gap OF'er until the likes of Nimmo and Conforto make it to NY. He could also platoon with Duda at 1B against Lefty's...Markakis would be a nice fit in RF, but not sure how his numbers would stack up going from a hitter friendly park to Citi....but they did move the OF fences in ...again

I would like the Yanks to resign McCarthy, extend a QO to Robertson and offer a 3 year deal around 13 per, resign headley, and resign either Drew or go after Lowrie. I know drew's bat wasn't great last year to put it lightly but with a full spring I think he would perform better and an IF of Headley, Drew, Prado, Tex would be one of if not the best defensive IF in baseball.

If they can't sign Robertson, then I would like them to aggresively pursue Andrew Miller and Koji Uehara. If we lose Robertson BUT can sign Miller and Uehara we would be weakening the Sox and Orioles and replicating a KC bullpen. The game would be over after 6 innings with Miller, Betances, and Uehara.

If we do that, we should be able to mask whatever offensive inefficiencies pop up. I expect Beltran and McCann to bounce back although McCann played better near the end. We have to hope that Tex can stay healthy enough to play 120-130 games and hope Beltran can man the OF which I think he can. We would have a shut down bullpen, especially if we bring up some of our rookies like Lindgren, Pasoz, etc, we would have a fantastic defense with McCann, Tex, Prado, Headley, Drew, Gardner, Ells, Beltran, along with good but not great pitching (Tanaka, Pineda, Sabathia, McCarthy, Greene and then Nova), and we would have a solid offense. Ellsbury, Gardner, Prado, McCann, Beltran, Tex, Headley, ARod, Drew is a good lineup IMO.

We would be able to accomplish this and we wouldn't be paying any huge deal. Drew will be very cheap. Headley could get up there but not too bad IMO. Miller could be had on a two year deal with an option and Uehara could be had for one year with option or two years with cheaper AAV.

This would be a fantastic offseason IMO.

I'd like to see the Phillies pick up LaRoche or Cruz, but not Peavy.

Abreu, Konerko, and Giambi need to retire.

I'm fairly certain that my boy Abreu and Konerko are on their way out.

Rasmus and Janssen can go. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of Colby, but he is entirely way too streaky at the plate.
Janssen is pretty good out of the pen, but I don't think he should have been chosen as a closer.
Letting Kawasaki and Cabrera go would be huge mistakes. Cabrera had an amazing season, and I believe he wants to stay. Jay's need to make that happen. Kawasaki had some clutch hits for us late in the season, and comes up big frequently. He may not have the greatest glove out there, but his personality and desire to play make him worth it IMO.

So who jumps ship first or which team starts the ball rolling?

Uhera re-signed with BoSox.

Someone will enjoy adding V-Mart and Andrew Miller to their roster.

I wonder if Smoak will get a deal before camp...

I completely agree.
Maybe some of the Jays players can chip in to re-sign Melky. :p
