Erich, Arizona takes Deone Bucannon with the 27th pick, and leaves everyone speechless for a second, they were expected to take a QB

Panthers take Kelvin Benjamin, looks like they are trying to remake the WR corps following the loss of Steve Smith

Browns fans here in Ohio either love Manziel for the 22nd pick or are reaching under their sinks for the bleach. I originally wanted to see him picked up at #4 but, with the strategic trade moves, was very happy to see the Browns save millions by moving a #4 pick (a CB we very much need) back to #8 and Manziel back to #22 . This should be a fun season. Go Browns.

Yeh, you guys definitely get a solid A grade for the way you handled the first round.....for now......I think Manziel will be a bust.

My two cents:

Great first move by Cleveland, their Corners are gonna be fantastic but I'm not a "Johnny Clipboard" fan.

Buffalo overpaid for a guy I don't think they needed.

3rd straight year the Cowboys took an OL-man. Like it.

Like what the Rams did, they're both "boring" picks but the kind of moves that Playoff teams make to solidify your Roster.

Pack got great value with Dix.

And Cooks might be the best "fit" of the entire First Round. Nice move to trade up and get the guy they musta coveted...

I disagree with you on one point: The Bills.

If they hadn't moved from 9 to 4, they wouldn't have got Watkins......they might not have even got Mike Evans. They would to have had to settle with an Odell Beckham, or trading down to get Brandin Cooks.

Grabbing a WR, and trading up to grab the best overall offensive player in the draft (IMO) instills confidence in your 2nd year QB in Manuel, who showed flashes of brilliance. It also shows your fanbase that you're willing to go face to face with nearly anyone offensively.

Add in the fact that Watkins was a Bills fan as a youngster and his strong friendship with CJ Spiller......I think it was a brilliant move. Let's just hope they are ablye to go 7-9 or better, and not a 2013 Redskins disaster.

But they have 3 pretty good WRs already. and isn't their O-Line kinda questionable? An elite OT would probably help Manuel, who I like and did show flashes, more than another WR would.

Or add some D-line depth, especialy if Dareus will miss some games...

I see what you're getting at.....Williams/Woods/Johnson is a pretty solid trio of Starting WRs. But this gives them options. A plethora of WR they can trade for pieces they need to fill. Or, Stevie seems to be hurt like every season, and woods still hasn't shown he can be a career starter.

I don't know why they weren't okay with waiting for an OL or DL at the 9 pick....but i think they wanted to make an aggressive move to get a possible Calvin Johnson type receiver. I've been watching film on Watkins off and on since like 10 tonight. The dude is weak on his route running, but he can catch over basically every CB or DB that is covering him.

I'm not a Bills fan, nor do I care about the AFC East one bit.....I just think it was an awesome move.

And the Cowboys select Zack Martin...

this pick pretty much solidifies the fact that Jerrah isnt running the draft anymore. In fact, the last few drafts point to that. The cowboys now have 3 first round picks in their offensive line and if they are smart, they will clean up most of the cap issues after this season.

It was fun to see the heartbroken non-cowboy fans who were begging for manziel!

ESPN is reporting the Jags are saying they still would have taken Bortles over Clowney if Clowney fell to them at 3

I really do think Bortles will have the greatest impact in the league over the rest of the "big time" top 20 propects in this draft.

Also, is it Ironic that a Carr sits atop the best QBs available with the Texans picking? I think so.

Will this one turn out to be at least serviceable, unlike his brother?
