Only reason this series is even close is Bum. If he's not on the Giants this is already over. Royals will win the next two. Hudson and Peavy are not great pitchers and will likely get shelled again.

Yeah, I can see Bumgarner coming out of the pen in Game 7. Of course thanks to him their bullpen is fully rested. But if I were a Giants fan I'd be more nervous about Peavy in Game 6 than Hudson in Game 7. I still think the Giants win it in 7. Go Royals!

Maybe Bum can shut up all the people who gush over Kershaw all the time. He gets it done in October not just August

I want to see Hudson start Game 6 and then Petit start Game 7 with Bumgarner coming in to relieve.

Giants might as well have forfeited. ;) At least they would have lost 9-0 instead of 10-0.

Funny that people want a classic game 7. I don't think it's going to happen with Hudson vs. Guthrie.

Giants might as well have started Lincecum in Game 6.

The only close game of this World Series was Hudson vs. Guthrie in game 3. I see another close game with the Giants winning 4-3. Go Royals!

Temp predicted at game time suggest Bumgarner won't pitch. Don't think there's any way they throw him out, in cold weather, in short rest following a CG. The weather definitely plays on our favor. A lot. It will keep the ball inside the park. Not only does that keep Guthrie from giving up the long ball, it allows our elite defense to take over. That's a good thing. Get Guthrie through 5, then Finn, Herrera, Davis, Holland and we shouldn't have to score a ton.

I've said it numerous times though. Regardless of what happens tonight, these youngsters have far exceeded expectations, and have given us a big glimpse of what our future has in store. Extremely proud to be a Royals fan and very excited for the next few years.

Also have a lot of respect for the Giants. There a classy organization and have scrapped their way to game 7. Newfound respect for Bumgarner and will be finding a slabbed chrome auto to add to my PC.

Nothing better than a WS game 7 for the final game of the year. Enjoy it since we won't have baseball for the next 4 months or so..... Still going with my original pick ...Giants

What an exciting team the royals have. This series could have gone either way and without bumgarner the cardinals are in the WS instead of the giants. Bumgarner vs. Kershaw is going to be fun to watch for the next 6-7 years.

You've obviously never been to a game at ATT park - 55 and clear is very typical of night games by the Bay in San francisco. I've been at games in July and August that were 50 degrees by the time they finished. I've left games in April and May that were in the 40s by the time they finished. The giants are by no means a warm weather team.
