Didn't see a thread yet. Wondering what everyone thinks? I'm excited to see how many young guys are playing in this year's game. I think ARod should have got on and I'm hoping Kershaw doesn't get on

I was glad but surprised to see Goldy beat Gonzalez
Locally, everyone is hyping the HR Derby vs the All Star game itself.
Fordman
How does brian dozier not get in? He leads the al in runs scored and extra base hits as a 2nd baseman. He has only committed 2 errors this season and has been a part of more double plays then any other player in the al.
Xander bogarats should have got in instead of Brock holt. Then you could have swapped dozier for Julio Iglesias ss for Detroit. Seems a no brainier to me? What everyone think?
Has anyone even committed yet?
Lots of questionable NL Pitching choices IMO...
Who are you guys voting for in the final spot for each team? I'd like to hear some reasoning as to why you guys pick(ed) who you do/did. Thanks.
AL options:
Bogaerts
Cespedes
Dozier
Gardner
Moustakas
NL options:
Cueto
Kershaw
Familia
Martinez, C.
Tulo
I went with Xander and Familia.
Xander may well be the leading hitter in all of MLB the past few weeks, hitting .375 with a .934 OPS and 13 RBIs (clutch) in past 15 games. Not only that, he's been outstanding defensively, showing great range, awesome instincts on the double-play, and a great arm. Dozier et co. have shown more power on the season, yes, but I have to go with the hottest hitter of late. Xander's playing with the confidence of an All-Star and has out-performed the others heading into the AS Game, so I give him the nod. My second pick is Gardner.
Familia is killing it this year and gives the National League yet another dominant arm out of the pen, which they will need versus the AL this year! Cueto is deserving too, but Familia is a more logical 1-inning option for the NL.
