I am just citing this tidbit from the 2nd or 3rd page, which I took to be the truth...

2015 - Donald E Stephens Convention Center Rosemont IL
2016 - Atlantic City Convention Center - Atlantic City NJ
2017 - Donald E Stephens Convention Center - Rosemont IL
2018 - International Exposition (I-X) Center - Cleveland, OH
2019 - Donald E Stephens Convention Center Rosemont IL

Seems odd that it would alternate to Illinois every other year though, so maybe this was just someone being sarcastic?

Where are they going the next 5 years? I don't know where to look to get this information Baltimore would be great for me.

If that schedule holds true, 7 of 40 years on the West Coast. This must be a sign that the bigger money is East of the Rockies!!

Roughly 80% of the U.S. population lives in the Central and Eastern time zones. Most dealers don't want to haul their goods across the country when a great many of them can simply drive. That's my thought process anyway.

I remember a long thread on the PSA board a few years ago about how the schedule got set. IIRC, the upshot was the big dealers control it and the big dealers are all on the East coast, and they all remember terrible shows in places that are not Chicago, Cleveland, or AC. It was in Arlington, Texas once and apparently it was terribly attended, so Texas is ruled out forever. California is also out due to expense and perceived lack of attendance. NYC or other actual major east coast cities are also excluded by the cabal due to expense. I guess Baltimore a couple years ago (I think?) was the last spot outside that rotation for the next era.

I have booked reservations for the La Quinta for Thurs and Fri. I'm only about 90 minutes away from Rosemont. Can't wait!

Chicago is a great location due to having so many hotels within walking distance of the convention center. Off the top of my head, there are 6 or 7 withing 1000 yards of the entrance. Cleveland to me is a terrible show just because you have to drive to everything because its essentially part of the airport.

Cleveland is a ****ing dive. IX Center or w/e it's called is cool, but you can't walk there, from anything, since nothing is around it.

Finally got my plans in order and purchased my tickets. Will be doing a drive from the Twin Cities to Chicago via central Iowa to drop off wife and kids. Not exactly the most direct route but a worthwhile trade for 2 days at the National.

I won't have time for anything outside of the show but I am pumped to go to my first one.
