Update: Panini's in a giving mood.
"Elite Extra Edition will now “deliver unprecedented value,” according to the company, with five of the 20 boxes in a case now set to deliver 10 autographs. On top of that, seven more boxes will have eight autos, meaning 12 of the 20 boxes in a case are now technically Hot Boxes using the company’s previously stated plans. In past years, a handful of boxes per case were Hot.
On top of that, there will be three boxes per case that include Future Threads Silhouette Signatures or Future Threads Silhouette Signatures Prime cards, which will be numbered to no more than 149 copies.
The product does not include any redemption or Panini Rewards points and the way the checklist has been developed means that one-fourth of the case (five boxes) will include some of the top names in the checklist — a crop that includes Alex Bregman, Andrew Benintendi, Brendan Rodgers, Carson Fulmer, Dansby Swanson, Julio Urias, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Yoan Moncada, Kyle Schwarber, Corey Seager and Gilbert Lara, Orlando Arcia or dual autos of Vladimir Guerrero/Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Mariano Rivera/Mariano Rivera III, Fernando Valenzuela/Urias, Cal Ripken Jr./Ryan Ripken, Yoan Moncada/Rafael Devers, Manuel Margot/Devers, Lara/Arcia or Fulmer/Swanson."
