Andrew, my boxes/packs showed up today.. What started off with just okay hits turned amazing..


First pack.. It's Mookie and there might be some Met's collectors out there..

2nd box.. I used to love watching him pitch due to his disability..

Sold, to someone with the last name of Abbott.. $30

3rd pack.. Gooden 1/1 Auto..(looks like a buyback)

Sold $100 (I looked at the sold cards and other than his rookie, they have been selling for $100)

and then the final pack.. Greg Maddux buyback auto.. is it a 1/1? like others..

But then when I grabbed the card to scan in, the other side was flipped up..


OMAR VIZQUEL buyback auto.. in the same pack!!!
(Did anyone else have this happen to their redemption?)

I have a solid offer of $800 that I am taking.. I looked at all the previous Omar auto's and they sold for an average of $500.
Must be the Maddux that got me the extra..

Wow! You could make some change if that Omar is a 1/1, and I think that's awesome that the redemptions are in the holders also. Congrats!

As more and Olerud cards flood ebay, I've noticed a couple of oddities/variations. Anyone else notice stuff like this? It's becoming impossible to track all the versions and numbering


1992 Topps appears to have silver and bronze foil versions, both /48 (maybe just bad pics?):

Has anyone seen any of these missing serial numbers? I hit a 1997 Bowmans Best Cal Ripken auto, with no serial number front or back. I've found two other Ripkens from this product and both are 1/1. It's a cool rip but things like this really kill it for me.

Other things of note on the release:

1) I received an email from my distributor that orders were allocated by Topps due to a large number of autos coming back smeared from signers (Tribute anyone?). Did anyone else hear this or get their orders cut?

2) I saw two cases get busted from the same distributor and out of the 40 cards inside, TWENTY ONE of them were either Eric Davis or Ken Griffey Sr.....That's BAAAAAAD case management there Topps...

What is the largest # of different cards for a single player you have noticed? I think I've seen close to 25 Cansecos out there, with more popping up.

[MENTION=1802]Pinbreaker[/MENTION] - If that Vizquel was going to - indeed - be a 1/1, I think you left a bit on the table. The Venezuelan collectors paid $2k for a 1/1 Galarraga.

Edit: Very nice sale, though. Not to take anything away from it.
