2016 Tek Thread

Interesting, it seems Topps/Beckett left several collectors wondering what was real on the checklist. I checked cardboard connection as well, there's is a bit more vague but would still lead me to believe Cal had base autos. If you haven't seen them I will take your word, with everything else you have from the set I don't see how they would have gotten past you. Seems odd some players wouldn't have base, I mentioned earlier Biggio doesn't either, just tidal and colors...odd

Every year of Tek since 2014 has done this with random players. Seems like star players don't get a base auto. , just the parallel autos. Troy Tulowitzki has no autographs lower than the disco diffractor /50 print run. Cargo is the same as Tulo, no base auto. but has a disco auto. /50 and on down in rarity. Galarraga too has no base auto., but has all the same autos. as the previous 2 listed. Eddie Butler has a base autograph with no serial #, then all the same ones on down that Tulo, Cargo and Galarraga have.

Not a 100% complete rainbow, but better than I've done the past 2 years. I have 1 pattern still in my COMC queue and still looking for #3 Grass. I was trying to be patient on the easier patterns but man they dried up FAST. Same with the Asia Sky auto, tried to wait the price out but after 2 or 3 copies nothing else ever popped up.

I missed out on the '14 Galactic Auto after bowing out at $600, so you can imagine my reaction when this year's graded BGS 10 was listed with BIN $225. God bless the group breakers. So I have both the auto & non-auto Galactic for 2016.

That's a good looking run. You sure are right, things dried up fast. Still love this product though, something about it, I can't get enough, as frustrating as it can be just love it. I haven't heard much for 2017, I know it's a late in year release but I hope Topps keeps it going.

Some of you guys have put together really nice runs of 2016 tek. Still working on mine and probably will be for a long time. I did get the grass pattern off COMC for about $3.00, which felt like a major score.

Great looking trio! It's hard to tell in the pic is the major difference between the black rainbow and the black galactic just the star-ish refractor pattern? I'm missing the black rainbow biggio

So don't have this in hand yet and not best picture. But finally after 3 years I have found a charcoal galactic auto! Bought it from a guy while its in process of submission at bgs! So not in hand yet but once graded it will be .
I can't wait!

Well this guy popped up on ebay a while back, and a few minutes after I put in my bid, the listing was pulled. Damnit. Did anyone on this board buy it?



On the bright side, I finally have the Asian sky blue autograph card coming in.
