I dunno guys, I actually like the design. I think it would look nice with a chrome finish too.

I agree. I feel like Topps hasn't really been taking Chrome into consideration with the recent designs. I know some of the older designs are a little boring with the designs and borders, but with Chrome and especially refractor versions, I like it. I still gravitate toward Topps Chrome refractor RCs, but I haven't been too impressed with recent issues.

I'm pretty particular. My favorite Topps base designs in recent history are 1999, 2001 and 2004. 2011 was alright also.

1999 Chrome is a beautiful set.
