Glad you're enjoying the game. The branches themselves vary in difficulty, for sure. Unlikely for a player to K 5+ batters in a spring training game, but you only need a single hit each if you go the batter route (that, or wait for a chainsaw).

It comes into play at the start of the day and you can start working on the next branch immediately, starting with the first game of the schedule.

Further clarification:

Once any of the 3 chainsaw options are used, you can retroactively use any game on that day toward your next branch.

Example: You need Seattle to hit 3 homeruns to clear branch 4. However, they play the last game of the day.

If they hit 3 home runs, not only do you clear branch 4, but the entire slate of games that day are available for branch 5.

[MENTION=3744]cjedmonton[/MENTION] I was able to get two branches chopped prior to the February 26th date Since KC got the 3+ HRs for the first branch chainsaw style, that opened up the Team Pitching which I was also able to cut down on the same day:

Branch 1: Completed 02/25 via chainsaw as Kansas City had 4 home runs
Branch 2: Completed 02/25 via the WSH vs ATL game (Nationals pitching allowed 2 doubles) and the CIN vs SEA game (Cincinnati pitching allowed 3 home runs)

However, the Nationals allowed 3 doubles to the Braves on Feb 25th. Each scenario must be an exact match. Since your Washington scenario does not say "2+ Doubles", that branch is incomplete through Feb 25th.

However, the Nats did allow exactly 2 doubles to the Cardinals today (Feb 26th), so branch 2 is complete for you!

You are now on branch 3 as of today!

Not quite.

Everyone is on branch 2 starting today. Your branch 2 chainsaws are Minnesota with 3+ HR or Pittsburgh with 12+ K (or the regular scenarios in branch 2).

Yes, everything on the branch needs to be completed before moving on. They can be completed on separate days, however.
