Is this a premium product or something that is hard to find? It’s funny as I do daily searches for Steve Garvey, when a new product drops, it’s obvious that people are pricing off each others listings with no real sales data to back it up.

Oddly, people seem to be paying strong for these cards out of the gate though that are mostly WAY above normal market value for a similarly serial numbered autograph. Take for example one that is /199. That is nowhere near a $50+ price point for any other Steve Garvey autograph /199, yet card after card is getting listed for these prices. Lower print runs are being listed much higher. I have seen /50 and /25 listed for $200-300 or more! Yet another reason why I no longer obsess over trying to get them all. People are just plain nuts these days with new issues.

I have seen some wacky crap since Covid but this market just seems to get nuttier as time passes. I have news for anyone playing in this arena, you WILL be disappointed if you expect your cards to hold their value or increase when you buy at these levels. There will be no buyers in the future at these prices other than maybe right after he dies. Clearly this does not apply to all players, but from someone who has been heavily involved in the Steve Garvey card market for decades, I know what I am talking about.

I assume you’re talking about the 2025 Topps Chrome Platinum Anniversary Edition release.

And yeah, prices are nuts outta the gate.

Nice product, but like most wax these days, very over-priced…

I've been picking up a couple of the Edgar's.. but when you are selling a card for $4 and you want to charge $8 for shipping.. that's a hard pass.

I see there is a Skyline Parallel that I have been watching. The initial sales have them extremely high.. I'll wait.

I believe that is it. I am waiting. They will come down, always do, unless there is something i don't know about this issue. Even Heritage cools down eventually. I just wonder who the people paying crazy money are.
