I admire all the specific and focused goals! Mine are more generic, but no less satisfying if I achieve them.

1. Organize what I have by entering them in Card Ladder
2. Pick up another playing days Jimmie Foxx or two
3. Pick up a 4th or 5th tier Shohei RC (Heritage, Archives. etc...)
4. Start a Topps era Dodger luminary collection. HOFers, Retired numbers, MVP/CYA/ROY, Legends of Dodger baseball honor, etc... No rookies.
Hey! Glad to see you’re still around! Hope things are going well.

Hello and thanks! It has been awhile for sure (18 months or so). Funny how time gets away from you.

All is good, hope the same for you both. Had a blast here with those crazy contests like Lumberjack Bingo. Maybe one day again.
The contests were fun for sure, but just stop by and talk sports and cards, don’t wait another 18 months!

1. Liquidate all of my last 200 or so dupes by 6.1.2026, trade if possible but sell the bulk as trading is super limited nowadays
2. Get to 4300 unique playing days and licensed post playing days
3. Get a 96 select mirror red.

A lot has changed in my life in the last few years. I've had to sell quite a bit, including some items that I really never expected to let go. THe general categories have been long-time focuses, the bold is more focused on this year.

1) I want to try and sell items that are in the collection which are not a focus. Over the years my focus has shifted and I've accumulated items that I don't get much joy out of owning. I'd like to sell those. This is definitely a priority for 2026. Hoping to limit the items sold to ones that are not really PC.

2) Items that chronicles steps of Jackie Robinson (and other major integrators') journeys before they made the Majors.
- I ended up selling a couple of key items including the LA Red Devils program. Really hoping to be able to find another copy eventually.

3) Find at least 1 significant lineup card collection (happy to pay a finder's fee for anyone who connects me to someone and a deal is made). Love the research and the hunt. It has been a long time since I found a lineup card collection (I thinki 2 years). Hoping one turns up this year.

4) Find more lineup cards from significant games. It's been over a year since I acquired a World Series lineup card. Also always looking for debuts, milestones and vintage lineup cards.
- I think the only big lineup card I acquired in 2025 was the lineup card from Hank Aaron's final game as an Atlanta Brave. He set the record for most HR's by a player on a single team.

5) I have narrowed my WWII-baseball focus to a number of areas: Baseball played in Europe, the All Star Series that were played, and anything related to black players who fought in WWII. This year I also added a focus on vintage photographs of some of the biggest ballplayers in the war (Ted Williams, Joe DiMaggio, Stan Musial, Hank Greenberg. I would still love to find a WWII-related Larry Doby item among other WWII-baseball items. #1 is definitely Doby for me right now.

6) Hoping to at least and ticket and one program from a game that Jackie Robinson played football at UCLA (1939 and 1940)
- No progress here in some time.

This is like a unicorn sighting for me.

I remember CJ from the Beckett boards. He has always been an interesting and generous member of any board on which I have seen him.

I haven't bought many cards at all in the past five years and I probably won't this year either. So my 2026 goal is just to continue being content with my collection.

After 40+ years in this hobby and building a large collection of only what I like, not what I think will increase in value, it's so much more fun to me to relax and casually look through my binders of cards, autographs and complete sets.

I'm still a collector and always will be, just not a buyer anymore. There's nothing like pulling out a binder of cards, relaxing in a recliner, and reliving the good ol' days of baseball through cards.

3. Continue to look for T209 Contentnea Roanoke players

4. Make it to 1500 different Yankee autographs

5. Get more college players autographs at Viirginia Tech & from visiting teams - expand to a couple of UVA games, also

Here's that card I was referring to.

Ugh, will be kicking myself forever for not jumping on it.

I was moving that same week and didn't want to make a big purchase.

None showed up for quite a while.

Then they started showing up again, but for about $5K. Grrrr...
Got this one first year came out. $155, sold it a while ago for $ 3300

This is all for goal number 1, for the moment. Might actually consider finishing the set, with only 20 cards left to go, though some expensive ones in there.

1912 Hassan 1912 T202 Tom Jones At Bat/McLean/Gaspar SGC 1.5 2/11/26
