The Dodger example is actually pretty boring, but the other teams have some color to them.

Pre-sells are now live on Topps' site, FYI. Releases 2/11.

Checklist is also live - https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0...026_Topps_Series_1_BB_-_1-12.pdf?v=1768330214

I was kinda hoping they'd do a Desert Shield parallel, since they're doing 1991 reprints and autos and such, but no dice. Still, checklist looks great to me. Lots of notable RCs. Picked up a few boxes. I suggest you do the same; this has the makings of a cash cow.

Seinfeld has an autographed card in the set.

Larry David’s autos went nuts but he might be more popular than Jerry…

I started putting sets together in 1959, at age 7. Put my first complete set together in 1961. I will turn 75 with Topps this year, though my birthday isn't until December. This year I'm going to buy boxes of cards to put my own set together one final time.

Got an Easter Egg and two hangers tonight.

Nothing too exciting:

Lindor (slightly bent) GU’d w/ pinstripe
Acuna Polka dots parallel
Ohtani and PCA “Title” inserts

But duplicates of about 20 of the cards.

Topps coalition strikes again…

So I decided to buy a Jumbo Box based on collation discussions. It ended up being a good decision. Box yielded 322 of 350 cards for the set with only 44 dupes. Inserts and parallels were nice but nothing that moved the needle. The box took longer than normal to open because I shared the experience with my wife. And though she knows the stars, she is unlikely to know who the key rookies are so I let her know Roman Anthony and Jac Caglianone. So it was fun when she got excited when she hit a base Anthony. Then going through a pack I saw the back of a redemption card. This stopped the break as I felt compelled to discuss the 52 Mantle and other redemptions included.

Needless to say it wasn't the 52 Mantle as that just might have needed its own thread. Still did just fine with a Elly De La Cruz Real One auto. Later I let my wife choose which silver pack and she may have outdone that. Hit a Caglianone auto from the silver pack. Hits for box below.

I ordered 4 of the Hobby boxes from Topps. They came in on Friday and I ripped all four of them.

I pulled two on card auto's that might pay for the boxes.. 1991 Cam Schletter and 1991 Kyle Teel Orange 4/25.
The two game used cards were 1991 Albert Pujols GU Jersey Blue parallel 68/150 and J.T. Realmuto GU Jersey Blue Parallel 62/150.
Also pulled a couple of decent parallels.. Ronald Acuna Jr. USA 39/76 and Profiles Gold Hank Aaron 39/50.

It's a fun rip.
