Paid little under $100 for these packs as I couldnt wait for Andrew's box to arrive. I should have just sent him some green and ask him to ship another box. I'm pissed.

No GU, no auto, no rip card...

Atleast I got a ton of SP's...ugh. Post results next.

Baseball Highlights: Jeter, Arod, Randy Johnson, Hamilton, Pujols

Code: Justin Upton

Mini's: Freud, King Felix, Braun, Matsuzaka, Choo, Osterman, Custer, Longoria (ZOMG!), Parnell RC

-AG back: Pedro Feliz, Wright, Theriot, Anderson RC, Beckett, Willie Williams

-Black boarder: Veal RC, Uehara RC

-SP: Billingsley

-National Heroes: Sigurosson

-Creatures of Legend Myth And Terror: Hydra (came in my first pack so I immediately thought this would be a great break)

-Worlds Biggest Hoaxes Hoodwinks and Bamboozles: Victor Lustig, War Of The Worlds

-No Number on Back (my best pull): Papelbon #'d 22/50

well, thats it guys. I pretty much bought a box and received everything except the topper and the framed. Awesome. After this box I'm probably done for a while with 09 AG.

Did you buy those at Target or Wal-Mart?? Come on Rud, you know better than that.

These were Hobby Packs, purchased at Newbury Comics.

Fixed it for you, better luck next time.

Never had an issue there before, coupled with the fact that they had been put on the shelves less than 1 hour earlier.

wow that was how NOT to buy A&G. I know you are thinking that they would be fine, but it is very
easy to search the hits in this product. Nothing ever good comes from 23 or 22 pack rips.

11 packs yesterday with no framed card, 23 today no framed card. These guys are taking the framed packs, if you go there often you may want to speak to an owner or manager and let them know the odds of that happening are silly.

How? Is it that easy to tell? The packs are on a display that is attached to the register booth!

Rud I broke 2 cases of this stuff for my shop owner. By the time I opened my own box, I just glanced at all 24 packs and told him which 3 had the hits and sure enough all 3 had the hits in them.

Damnit. I didnt think 06-08 were easily searchable. When I get my box from Andrew I'll see if I can figure out my 3 packs...

people weigh them, all the hits weigh more.
but the 23 packs must have been combined boxes
cus with one pack missing, you should have had 2 good packs left.
must be the punks that work there

Now, according to them they dont get full boxes then take out those packs and put them up for display (because if they did, I would buy a full box from them). Supposedly they get the packs shipped to them.

Now some of you will say "It must be the distributer snagging the good ones" I dont know about that...As for weighing them, its highly doubtful. I mean, if the pack is super thick, or can be felt in the hand then okay. But, look at my photobucket...pretty much every single big hit was pulled from a newbury comics. Granted, that was in the Amherst one, but I just cant picture the guys in Shrewsbury weighing out each pack in the backroom.

I don't think I've had a huge (or even a big) pull from my local one yet...

What the hell kind of distribution method is that? That's the biggest load of crap I've ever heard, just get the packs and they put them out... if a shop owner told me that I'd laugh in his face, walk out, and never come back.

Before we get out the pitchforks and torches, you should know I opened 2 sealed boxes from Blowoutcards. 1 box only had 2 "hits" and the other just 1. No numbered cards or rips or anything...Topps screwed the collation on some of these and will be getting a letter from me in a couple days.

I ask the following question:
Does the box state that you are "guarenteed" X number of hits per box, or does it state each box "on average" contains X number of hits?
Big, BIG difference!

Directly from the lid of the box:

Look for any 3 of the following:
Autograph Cards
Relic Cards
Printing Plates
Rip Cards
Cut Signatures

Again, box 1 had 1 relic card and none of the others.

Box 2 had 2 relics and nothing else.
