I think in general we as hobbyists are prone to buying fake autos when we are trying to get a steal. "Autos" and "steals" rarely go hand and hand, but I'm preaching to the choir.

Apparently, the McGwire IS authentic, and the Griffey, Jr. is most likely not. I will just return it tomorrow. I really think the guy who sold it to me didn't know it was fake. Now I need to stop thinking about this and get ready to pitch tonite.

The McGwire is NOT authentic. I promise you this. Post the picture again, and Don (aka Big Mac McGwire) will say the same thing. I dont know who is telling you it is authentic, but they are dead wrong.
