3 arrested in armed robbery of Kobe’s home

Lakers guard Kobe Bryant was absent from the team's shoot-around Wednesday because of a home-invasion robbery in his gated community in Newport Beach, according to a report by the Los Angeles Times.

The newspaper reported that three people were arrested and two suspects were still at large. Four of the suspects, armed with handguns, forced their way into a home in the Pelican Ridge community, according to Newport Beach police.

The Lakers had no comment on the report, and Bryant's agent, Rob Pelinka, did not return phone calls, according to the report.

Wow, if I lived in a gated community and had a home invasion I would move to another one that is hopefully safer. Hopefully this doesn't keep him out of the game against Utah. Luckily no one was hurt.

They didn't break into Kobe's house, they broke into another house inside the gated community that Kobe lives in.
