I sent in a bunch of GU/AU cards I didn't want to Blowout and got a gift certificate for $106.75. I bought 3 boxes of draft with the certificate, so I am only really out $82 before the break.
As you read below, don't cry for me--I'll use a lot of the cards for IP autographing.
First off, I killed the odds. 5 autos in 3 boxes! The bad news:
2 Chrome USA base autos (Matt Olson and Sean Brady)
2 Chrome base autos (Deck McGuire and Mike Foltynewicz)
I also got a redemption for a Base Drew Pomeranz autograph.
Yes, all pitchers.
Other big hits:
Chance Ruffin Gold Refractor (non-auto version). The last one got $13.
Stephen Strasburg Blue /399 (last one got $12 or so).
I'm only listing cards that I noticed selling for $4 or more on eBay.
Man, am I glad I didn't actually spend $180 on these!
I was planning on listing the hits in order to make back the $80 I actually spent, but with no hit that would make back 25% of that, my plan is to just hang on to the cards for a while. I might list the Strasburg, but I figure all the other cards don't have anywhere to go but up (check back with me on that prediction).
