Duane Ward - absolutely dominating until he blew out his arm
Greg Colbrunn - solid but unspectacular for the better part of a decade
Kevin Appier - would have been better remembered if he had pitched for just about anyone besides the Royals in his prime.

I see alot of guys that were famous here......so here are the REAL not so famous list: #1 Phil Plantier- loved his batting stance and he would just explode out of his stance to hit bombs.......#2 Steve Jeltz- couldn't hit a lick but his range was amazing as SS......#3 Kevin Gross- He had great movement on his pitches. Was just a .500 pitcher but played on alot of bad Phillies teams.

I was thinking the same thing while going through the lists. The first player that came to my mind is also Phil Plantier.

All slap hitters w/speed. To this day, whenever I see Martinez on the tv or being spoken about on the tv, I yell "slapstick" since every hit he had with the White Sox seemed to be oppo.

To me, some of the best in the game, were the ones that could do that on a regular basis.

I sat next to Fregosi this year at an O's game in April. I think he was scouting for the Braves. Thought of you when I saw him. I left him alone though and didn't chat, he had a chart and was on his phone frequently.
