This is exactly why I have had "not dealing with boomets" in my sig for months.

I got 9 PM's in 30 minutes asking for me to add things to the deal, even when we already completed it, and I packaged it up.

He is a complete waste of your time.

Be extremely careful even posting in his threads.

Alright

Please tell me what is wrong with the above.

Thank you in advance

You know, I get the issues here and totally understand...BUT, that is EXACTLY why there is the "must send first" tag on this guy.

I realize hofautos wasn't concerned, but clearly there should have been a reason to be.

I'm not taking boomets side, because what he did was wrong, but I hate to say it, this wouldn't have been an issue if hofautos had let him send first and THEN paid.

And if other than this (again sorry, partially the buyers fault), annoying PM's are the biggest concern, I think we've got bigger "bad dealers" out in the world that we should focus on not dealing with.

To be honest, i see that "must send first" many times, and just assumed that everyone gets that when they are new or haven't made a trade yet. Is that icon only used for people that have had problems?

I just know from experience that if paypal won't pay, the credit card will....and I learned that on items a lot bigger than $40. I personally never worry anymore using paypal and AMEX.

And that's fine, but my issue here is that if he had sent first, this would be a case of:

"He took too long to send"

And that issue is MUCH different (and a lesser issue that I think most traders can deal with) than:

"He took my money, and then lied"

The icon is there for a reason, and buyers and traders need to adhere to it.

I never said he took my money and lied. I never accused him of anything. I just warned others to use caution when dealing with him.
If I want to send paypal before I recieve an item, that is my perogative. I will decide my own risks.

I still would like to know if that icon is ONLY given to people with known problems? If I knew that was the case, I may "observe" it more closely.

Considering only a couple people on this site have that icon, its quite obvious what it is there for. You spend hours a day on this site, you KNOW what that icon means. Sure that is your perogative to use paypal before you receive an item, but then you are not following the forum rules and i consider that then is taken "off site". So dont come back here crying when you dont follow the "forum rules" ::facepalm::

First, I didn't know only 2 people had that icon. I haven't paid attention to how many people have it, I just knew that I have seen it a lot...maybe I just see it a lot because the 2 people that have it post a lot. I really didn't pay that much attention to which users had it.

Second, I wasn't crying. I said I have nothing to worry about. if I don't recieve an item, AMEX will pay me. I am not worried about anything. I only posted the message to warn others, and obviously others were in recent dealings with him, so my efforts were warranted. I wouldn't think the board would not allow "known scammers". If there are just "issues" but member is of good standing, I basically read the user must send first as "take your own risks, which is exactly what I did.

I traded with boomets. It was a little annoying when he kept asking for add ons, but once we settled on the trade he sent first and then I sent my side without issue.

I'm sure we've all been kids at sometime or another. The kid got a little over his head with this trade and probably learned from it. He has is one check mark against him - if he's a smart kid he'll try not to get another.

Well i am just partly giving you a hard time ;) , but now you know, "must send first" is there for a reason, if you would have known that or obliged by that to begin with, this little "issue" would have never happened.

+1 That is exactly how I am currently looking at the situation. Now if the DVD's never come, I will have a different opinion :D

I know...and I stated so in previous message. Also see my last message above. I really don't have any problems with you. I just feel you are a young man in the business world. I am sure you will learn to act responsibly in the future. If I hear correctly, you were kicked off other message boards. Try a little harder to stay here ;) :D

How did you miss this?
send1st.png

I saw it and wasn't worried about it. I used my credit card, so I never have to worry about not collecting.
I was a little suspicious when he didn't send the DC when he said he would, then said he misplaced it. He also asked for more money to buy more.
I could tell after just a couple messages that he was just a kid.

I did confirm that he informed paypal to allow a full refund, and he states that he shipped HALF the dvds...although I am not sure i believe that either :D

Like I said, i really am not worried about it, and he seems more concerned than I am. I know I won't lose any money. My only concern is for others who may be dealing with him that don't use credit cards.

I think everything will work out fine, because he came clean and he seems nervous to do what's right :D

Im sorry to everyone who has had problems with me.

HOFAUTOS - u will get the refund, and u will have all the dvds for $25 instead of $45

u

You sound like you have the right attitude. Don't worry, you will get the full payment in due time, maybe an extra card or two as well. Just try to calm down and do things "right".
