What's with all the offense? I thought pitchers were traditionally ahead of hitters at this point.

Good start for the Cubs and their highly over-rated "ace" and even maybe worse for Soriano, who thought he was going to rebound and hasn't been this healthy in years. I know it's only one game, but yikes!

IF the White Sox get 5 runs or more most of the time, they'll win 94+ games, which should get the division, especially if the Twins have bullpen problems. And their best pitcher didn't even start Opening Day.

Adam Lind might be the best hitter on a team with NO SHOT at the playoffs.

Bungle will be ripping the Yanks' bullpen even more than usual this year.

Too early to start the hitting .400 tracker for J-Up? 8-)

And even as a generally optimistic A's fan, they have no chance of Sheets out-dueling King Felix tonite. They've got to put up 8 runs and hope it's enough. Not too likely...

Well with 4 more "Opening Day" games left to play the hit total is already 203....

So far my fantasy league pitchers are doing well: Buehrle + Jiminez.....hopefully Weaver can follow the trend. ;)

LINCECUM!!! He looked good today. Usually he's a slow starter. If he turns that around this year then look out.

I am going to go with the weather.. It was beautiful all around the country today. Normally hitters are cold and uncomfortable right now. Not today, locked in and the ball really carried.

Yeah that's what they've been saying about lincecum for 2 years now. "Well look at his competition" It's getting kinda old now.

Was happy to see the following guys go yard

Kyle Blanks
Delmon Young
Colby Rasmus

If those three can start off on a heater, (especially Delmon) I'd be pretty happy. Then again, I know I'm not the only one on here hoping for that :D

Maybe Delmon really will finally put it all together this year **fingers crossed**

Feliz had the best outing of the day, seriously.

I have a vested interest in him doing well and I was VERY happy with his outing:

2 hits, 2 walks in 1/3 of an inning and only giving up 1 run AND your team rallys to tie it in the ninth.

He could have walked away for a 70.00 ERA and 0-1.

I am hoping for a lot more. 2/1 walk/so needs to improve. I know its game 1, but its what I have to deal with. I believe he will become the dominant strikeout pitcher in all of baseball if every thing goes as I plan it (and I dont own a single card of him).
