Here's the leaderboard after the Starting Rotation round:
Next up: Closer, Catcher, DH
Again, each contestant must be willing to score their own lineup. Participation is required if you want a chance to win!
Deciphering Your Numbers
The 1st number for each player refers to their alphabetical position in the top 50 all-time in their category.
Saves for Closers
Home Runs for Catchers, DH
(Only 25 DHs were used because less than 50 DHs have more than 1 career HR at that position. Each DH is entered twice).
The 2nd number refers to the single season during that player's career you will use to score their line. All single seasons are created equally, no matter how many innings or at-bats they had.
If the 2nd number is greater than the length of that pitcher's career, simply continue counting from Year 1 until you get to your 2nd number.
Example: You draw Sandy Koufax with 31 as his 2nd number. Since Koufax only played 12 years, you'd have to go through his career twice (24), and up to his 7th season to get to 31. You would use his win total in Year 7 to score his line.
Scoring
Once you determine who your players are and the single season you will be using for each, locate their save/home run total for that year.
Closer
Non-Hall of Famer: 3 points for each save
Hall of Famer: 6 points for each save
Catcher
Non-Hall of Famer: 2 points for each home run
Hall of Famer: 4 points for each home run
DH
Non-Hall of Famer: 3 points for each home run
Hall of Famer: 10 points for each home run
Add up the scores for all 3 players and post your score in this thread.
I will keep this thread open until sometime on Saturday the 29th. Once it is closed, that's it! If you didn't post your score, you lose those points.
Contestants are encouraged to spot check each other`s posted total.
A similar thread will be introduced for the remaining rounds (Infield, Outfield)
If you have any questions, be sure to ask! Good luck and have fun.
