50 of the 60 cases ordered are opened, the other 10 went to a friend (who hit a Harper, so that rocks)

Here is a quick snap shot of the biggest items...
I will say on the Base Chrome Autos, I pulled the fewest of Machado, but the most of Noah & Josh Sale

26 Total 1/1
19 printing plates...1 printing plate AUTO...2 Base Red 1/1...3 SUPERFractors...2 SUPER AUTOs! (There were 52 SUPER Autos made...I pulled 3.8% of them, not bad)
SF Autos: TAYLOR LINDSEY & CHRIS CHINEA USA

10 RED Ref #/5
7 Chrome non-autos...3 Autos
RED Autos: ALEX BREGMAN USA, TROY CONYERS USA, & CHEVEZ CLARKE

39 AFLAC Autos
Sanchez/38, Harper /230 x2, Clarke /35, Tuttle /106, Williams /127 x2, Krol /127 x3, Taillon /230 x3, Sale /230 x3, O'Conner /230 x4, Cowart /230, Bailey /230 x4, Harvey /230 x2, Givens /230, Tago /230 x3, Gennett /230, Heathcott /81, Beckham /127, Grandal /230 x2
I averaged 2.44 autos of the AFLACS #/230, and 5 of the /230 I hit 3 or 4 of... so the Harpers could've have been real nice after hitting 2 in first 11 cases, but I am happy

44 ORANGE Ref #/25
33 Chrome non-autos...11 Autos
ORANGE Autos: ZACK COX, MATT HARVEY, BRYCE BRENTZ, CHEVEZ CLARKE, YASMANI GRANDAL, JUSTIN O'CONNER, ZACH GREEN USA, MATT OLSON USA, MARC BRAKEMAN USA, TROY CONYERS USA, LUCAS SIMS USA

113 GOLD Ref #/50
90 Chrome non-autos...23 Autos
GOLD Autos: TAILLON, CHOICE x2, JOSH SALE x2, DeSHIELDS x2, O'CONNER x2, GRANDAL, LEE, SKOLE, BROWN, DEGLAN, LINDSEY, KVASNICKA, PEREZ USA, OKEY USA, BILLINGSLEY USA, SEAGER USA, PELAEZ USA, SIMS USA, ALMORA USA

58 BLUE Ref AUTOs #/150 & #/99
I have not counted the Blue Ref non-autos but close to a set...
Best Blue Autos: Machado, Taillon x2, Cox x2, Chris Sale x2, Culver x2, Grandal, Lee x2...
These include 19 USA #/99 which include 3 Bregman

Plus 1 STRASBURG AUTO VAR

That's the big stuff...

Based on odds...
HIT 39 BLUE REF AUTO /150, suppose to hit 45
HIT 19 BLUE REF USA AUTO /99, suppose to hit 17
HIT 23 total GOLD REF AUTO /50, suppose to hit 23.5
HIT 11 total ORANGE REF AUTO /25, suppose to hit 11
HIT 3 total RED REF AUTO /5, suppose to hit 2.2
HIT 2 total SF AUTO 1/1, suppose to hit 0.54
HIT 1 total PLATE AUTO 1/1, suppose to hit 2.1
HIT 1 STRASBURG AUTO VAR, suppose to hit 1

Hey Brent,

I bought a lot of your cards! As someone who will have one of the best ideas in the world of how good the product was this year, how would you say you did and how did you do in comparison to past years....

A big issue is the fact that the (20) lots may not sell as hot as past years as people know people will eventually get a chrome auto that succeed. Do you feel this is true?

Any comments on how the product is for making a profit when all the bread and butter is spread?

First I would say, positively...
Fun as always
I really liked the checklist
Appreciate the extra AFLAC autos, but we always expect something else I suppose

But a couple of items...
1. yes, the chrome lots sell EXTREMELY poorly, especially compared to past years, but having the top draft choices all with AUTOS & CHROME BASE hurts big time... Machado Chrome lots of 20 as low as $20...in the past they should be $100+++ easy, just look at the Strasburg Chrome lots when no Chrome Auto, or other guys from past releases, BUT this time EVERY one of them had both (Topps is trying to bring the top picks, I understand... but seems they stretch hard to find 110 prospects now a days... so they repeat & use USA guys...THIS is because of Bowman most likely, putting 110 names in regular Bowman the past few years & with Chrome Prospect Autos, makes BC & BDPP more thin...but I do love Bowman, especially Jumbos)

2. The extra 55 Green RC is a bad idea IMO... it takes away from the # of chrome prospects you get every case, and just adds 55 names that honestly we could all do without & that all had RC all year long over & over, including other Bowman Chrome RC...I love Heyward & want him there, but this is his 3rd BC RC this year....how is that possible? Just because the product name is different, even if it is a BC nonetheless, hmmmm...then there are surely 55 or maybe 75 guys that don't really need in there

3. Production Up, plain & simple, makes the elite hits & names that much tougher, YET because they are #d the same as past years, they don't command more of a premium, collectors/buyers don't care...even if production is up near 100% on hobby cases, you get the same amount

4. I am glad we get more Base prospects per Box I guess, but honestly would rather have the GOLDs back IF thin... 3 per pack is SOOOOO many, and the gold adds another set, another variety, & rather than water down the base prospect sets, adds a nice parallel

5. Finally, why does Topps eliminate some parallels that I would rather have than not as all they do is add value... IF production is up, to me I would seek to add more value... instead NO Orange Base parallels & NO Xfractor Chrome parallels or Autos...that would be a huge help...
YET!... Retail gets all the Hobby parallels PLUS items like Purple Ref or Green XFractors, or even in other releases special yellow, orange & xfractor... I am fine with retail exclusives such as the Base Autos, but they also gave them jerseys at as few as 1:12 rack packs....be nice to have a 1 per box jersey or 1 per case patch in Hobby...why not? Honestly, retail does have some tough odds, but they continue to add value to retail & more hits, yet take them away from Hobby...why can they not do both? Just my thoughts...

Some may disagree but just some initial basic thoughts...
Also I appreciate the extra USA autos, but man, makes the checklist 52 chrome autos then, and no offense to the young boys or those who collect them, they are not that highly collected at the moment...what's next... 14U cards? elementary wiffle ball kids, lol... Years down the road though some of these USA guys could be huge & well worth holding for 5+ years at $1-$5 an auto...and gold autos for under $25 for many...worth holding? yes, probably so...

also I put more pics & info on Twitter: brentandbecca

And for those that are asking for specific cards, I have sold most of this stuff this past week...sorry, but have many auctions ending tonight/tomorrow, & will list my last rounds of autos tonight, then will be listing all the parallels that I have not, which is 95% of them

In other words, I will not be around much to answer all the PMs and many items could be sold...hope this makes sense

Just wanted to share with you what 50 cases yielded for me so you could see/enjoy/comment
thanks to all...MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I really appreciated following your breaks on twitter. Thanks for sharing them and hopefully your insight can help make the product better in the future. Congrats on some nice pulls.

Do you expect to finish in the red or in the black based on this break?

Just curious, this is my first time doing a break of DPP. It sounds like cards sell better in Lots rather than sets? Is this true? I opened 2 cases and I'm trying to figure out what to do with all the base cards. I guess the same question goes for the chrome.

Awesome break Brent. Congrats.

thanks for adding yours Jim, most were pretty close on, the big differences of course are in the lower #/tougher-to-pull items, which i would expect since those are crap shoots most often...
I need to combine my other 10 cases in with mine, but do not have all the data

other notes...
we both got our cases from the same place you & i
i hit more of the aflac, but you seemed to pull the color ref at a better rate, interesting stuff

Machado an unannounced sp (or at least a "group A" autograph)?

It certainly felt that way for Brent and I. It was interesting though, I feel like every time I hit a Taillon, a Machado was in the next box. But I know I hit a few more Taillon's than that, so it must not have been quite so directly related.

So is it fair to say:

Per Case, on average you get 1 red refractor or rarer & 2 gold ref's or rarer?
Sounds like decent stuff unless you get that 1 bum case.
