I was watching that as well (just to see how it does). I would rather pony up the extra cash (if I had it) and get even an altered example. As for whether or not they'll see any kind of a return I'm not sure, but it will be interesting to see where it finishes up.

I’d put that in my collection in a heartbeat. If I ever got to a point financially where I could get a better one, I would. But this would make me happy if I owned it.

Nah, looks like it was kept loosely in a wallet and just rubbed against the leather or bills for a long time, causing the even wear. I used to keep an old Star Wars card in my wallet when I was young and it looked similar to the Mantle after a year or so.

Ended at $5300ish with 58 bids.

Not much less than a "better" PSA 1.

WAY higher than I thought.

It was a PWCC item, which probably helped.
