Saw 8 boxes (4 series 1, 4 series 2) on sale for about $45 combined so I said what the heck. I opened 6 of them.

I got complete inserts set of All NBA, Ultra Power, Award Winners, Power in the Key, All Rookies, Double Trouble, Rebound Kings, and tons of dupicates of those insert cards. I also was able to make 3-4 complete base sets. Rookies include Grant Hill, Jason Kidd, Glenn Robinson, Eddie Jones, etc. The highest valued is Series 1 Jason Kidd that "books" for $2-4 but could be had for under a buck. None of the insert cards listed above book for more than a few bucks, but they're good looking cards. But I didn't mention the hits which came one per box and hot packs, 1 per 2 boxes, which consisted solely of insert cards of the ones listed above. So underway...

Series 1 Box 1

David Robinson Scoring Kings
Hot Pack

Series 2 Box 1

David Robinson Defensive Gems

Series 1 Box 2

Charles Barkley Scoring Kings
Hot Pack

Series 2 Box 2

Mookie Blaylock Defensive Gems
Hot Pack

Series 1 Box 3

Karl Malone Scoring Kings
Hot Pack

Series 2 Box 3

Hakeem Olajuwon Defensive Gems

Out of all the cards, the Scoring Kings were the best and book for about $5-10 but could be gotten for a buck or 2. The defensive gems book for about $1 for Blaylock and $3-5 for Olajuwon and Robinson. Still a fun break that brings back memories.

Nice!
Dang, 14 years old. Were any of the cards stuck together or anything?

The Series 1 cards were definitely stuck together. I'm more into 80's and 90's cards than collecting current stuff. Though cheaper than current cards, some inserts that I want can get rather pricey, mainly Jordan, so I'm all for trading instead.

That sounded like a lot of fun, at a pretty cheap price
