You gotta go with Wieters here as he is in the best position to become the "face" of his franchise. This would give him more media attention than say a guy like Price who could very well be a step behind the likes of Shields and Kazmir for his entire career.

I would say it's more likely that Wieters would be "behind" Markakis and Adam Jones, than it is Price being "behind" Shields and Kazmir. Price is on a team coming off a historic season, built to win for years, yet already is as close to a household name as someone with his MLB experience can get. Oh, and he's really really talented. :)

I would have added Chris Davis. I voted for Matt Wieters because out of those guys, I think he'll be the one with the biggest impact. I believe he will turn around the O's franchise with the help of the likes of Nick Markickass and Brian Roberts (and obviously others, maybe even Chris Tillman).

Edit-For all the people who chose Price, I will have to disagree. While I think he can be a great pitcher, I don't think he'll make the biggest impact for his team. They proved to be great without him; I don't think he'll make them that much better. The Orioles are horrible, and Wieters will lead them to greatness or at least goodness, in my opinion.

JG

Haha! I believe I came up with that!

I am very high on Chris Davis as well. Huge power potential.

I am going to say Jason Heyward.

I have to agree with Scotty here, comparing him IMO to one of the top tier pitchers of all time

I did put my vote down for bumgarner though

not comparing him, just saying his ceiling seems to be around the same fear/dominance johnson had during his prime.

Ken,
You are digging yourself into a deeper hole. Randy Johnson and Madison Bumgarner should not be compared in the same sentance. End of story. Sure, Bumgarner could turn out to be a great pitcher, but to say batters will fear him as much as Johnson in his prime?......Are you high??

Wouldn't that be awesome if he was high and all his posts tonight were just the weed talking? And, maybe he's too paranoid right now to respond, or maybe he just spilled his bowl of cereal all over his keyboard and can't respond....just sayin.

I vote for Clayton Kershaw, errr, David Price.

David Price.

Why? Baseball fans already know who he is, therefore he has a distinct edge over everyone else.

Well, this is a pretty good list of prospects, which one will be the biggest name of the group by the time that 2015 rolls around?

My vote goes to Heyward. He has superstar written all over him IMO. The power combined with all the other tools give him lots of potential in my eyes.

Who is your vote and why?

all the above + i am a homer! has nothing to do with cardboard values.
