not to discount your statement/opinion but give me John Rocker in his prime, before he got pushed out of baseball for his "insensitive" remarks towards women and, i believe, asians. Rocker v. Rivera, I'll take Rocker everytime. I know yall will flame away about his off fields activities, but none of yall will say anything about his performance on the mound. He was rivera before any of us knew who rivera was.

Wait, I'm confused.
Rocker's best year (1999. His "prime" I assume) he pitched 72.1 innings, saved 38, had a 1.161 WHIP, and a 2.49 ERA.
In 1999 Rivera pitched 69 innings, saved 45, had a 0.884 WHIP, and a 1.83 ERA.
Not to mention, in 1999 Rivera had already had two seasons as close better than Rocker.
I'm guessing you were joking, but I'm not sure. :?

no, not joking 100% serious. it's not always about the stats, plus rivera always played on stacked teams. I'm not sure of your age, so i dont know if you eve saw him play back then. he was just as intimidating, if not moreso, than rivera. I'm not here to rain on Mo's parade, just that whenever a milestone is reached for whatever stat, that person automatically becomes "the greatest", whether they are or not. Just because someone ranks first in something or happens to win that day doesn't make them the best. Is cy young the best pitcher of all time, not by a long shot, but he has 511 wins. see my point. Plus, it's all subjective anyway.
