I have been working on the 2004 Cracker Jack Blue Mini parallel set since this set was released in the summer of 2004. Today, I reached 225 of the 250 different cards in the set. I have 34 of the 50 Short Prints, so I am just over 2/3 of the way on those.

7 of the 25 cards I need are currently on ebay, but way overpriced (thanks Burbank). The Blue Minis are not numbered in 2004, but the 2005 Blue Minis are numbered to 50.

My biggest needs now are Jeter, Ichiro, David Ortiz, Miguel Cabrera, and Jose Reyes (#1 card in the set). All are SPs. Fortunately, I already have the Griffey and won't have to compete with those crazed Griffey collectors when they decide they need one.

tell me about it. I got about 60% on the 2002 bcdp gold ref set w/ autos. i was missing too many big names and fell short on the dough. I did complete the entire ref and xfr set from 2002bcdp/ I also completed the ref set from 2002 bc the xfr set came up short and the gold well that was impossible. Had every auto from 2002 bc and bcdp. that was fun.

I know how it goes..... I did finally complete the master set of 2001 SP Game Bat Edition ... was a fun set to put together and thank god I had the big pulls and did not have to go out and buy them..... but I did at the time buy lots of boxes and packs...... Do not think I would try and put a master set together again.... just way too much work

Thanks for all the replies. Here are the answers to some of the question asked:

I am currently storing them in toploaders. I like flipping through them now and then.

The odds on the blue minis were 2 per box.

Actually, I don't need any of the ones that have been offered to me here (I need the Sosa, but not the 05). Here is the full list of what I need:

1 Jose Reyes SP
3A Albert Pujols Portrait
21 Paul Lo Duca
25B Jim Thome Fielding SP
51 Ichiro Suzuki SP
67 C.C. Sabathia
80A Sammy Sosa SP (on ebay for $11.25)
80B Felix Pie SP
83 Joel Pineiro
87 Raul Ibanez SP
95B Gary Sheffield Yanks SP
108 David Ortiz SP (two on ebay, $18.02 and $20)
148 Mark Buehrle
166 Angel Berroa SP (on ebay for $4)
167 Rocco Baldelli SP
173 Kelvim Escobar
177 Hank Blalock (on ebay for $5)
179 Delmon Young SP
210 Rudy Guillen SP
224A Ivan Rodriguez Marlins
224B Ivan Rodriguez Tigers SP (on ebay for $13.52)
226 Miguel Cabrera SP
229B Jason Giambi Fielding SP
232 Derek Jeter SP
237 Alfonso Soriano

As I acquired most of these in batches from sellers listing multiples at once, I have averaged about $3 per card on these ($5 per card on the SPs, including shipping). Interestingly, all of the ones that Burbank has are priced at 90.1% of high Beckett price. I wonder if they use that multiplier globally on their cards...
