The dufex was some kind of give away I think ~2000?. The promos were stamped on the back. I've heard every card had a promo but I've never seen a Rickey.

The dufex 30 card set was given to those who attended all the sessions of the 1993 SCAI meeting in Dallas. Only 1000 sets were made.

I sent a 1989 Score Bo Jackson Promo to PSA because most people hadn't seen one and didn't know it was a promo.

Promo: stats rounded to tenths

I have the 89 Joe Montana Promo. Same stat numbering to show it is a promo.

If you have time put up a scan of the Montana, I would love to see it.

Now that it was mentioned, 1000 does sound familiar as well as the story about attending the meetings or whatever. I remember reading that a long time ago. So are the promos dufex as well or like the standard Cooperstown card?

The promos look identical to the regular ones on the front, but have black imprinted PROMO on the reverse. Dufex promos don't exist.

That's what I thought but wasn't 100% sure. And all players have a promo correct? Any idea of print run?

I would guess a 100 or 2 but they don't ever show up and I have heard stories
of collectors finding them by accident? I have seen 1 Griffey for sale in 8 years.

As you wish...
Front scan. Promo on the left. Looks identical except the Score logo in the upper left. Promo has an R, regular has a TM.

joe_0001.jpg

Same for the back--numbering like the Bo, and same R/TM difference as the front.

joe.jpg

Promo also has a darker finish for the pics--front and back. Much better color, especially the back photo.

The photo cropping is slightly different on the front and back as well. Look at his right foot on the front and the top of his head on the back.

And the back of the Promo Card uses 2 digits remainders for stats for Rating and Passing Percentage, and on the regular card it is rounded to only one place.
