I used to feel a little bad about that kind of stuff, but then I realized, if I don't take advantage of it, someone else will. I might as well be the one to gain from it.

If its a kid, obviously its different, but I'm not gonna feel bad about a random dealer.

what about if it's some little kid selling something and he's set up with his dad, etc.
Excuse me sir but I track this card on eBay and you are selling it for half of what it goes for. Can I give you double what you are asking for it? What is wrong with you???

try to keep a straight face ad buy it

at the national my dad pulled a card that he put on ebay and was going for 95 and i was offered the same card for $3, so its the dealers fault he didn't know what the card sold for, especially since a lot of dealers pull stunts when they see kids

What's the point of this thread? There's nothing wrong with getting a good deal. Who cares?

what kid says "daddy lets go set up a table to sell at the card show?"

um... the dad and the kid may collect and go together if the dad wants to go?
im not talking a 3-year-old but 12-15

A 15 year old should have a better idea. Now a 10-12 year old should have a parent that has some idea if they are going to sell cards or anything really.

If there is a steal at a show. I pay for the steal and walk away.

I don't know. It depends on how "underpriced" the card is.

I would have a time debating whether or not to tell the seller if it was something major (like say a....'52 Mantle for $10 or something like that). But odds are, if you are at a show the dealer is going to have some kind of idea what the card is worth.
