A grading device from the past

I never had one but their ads used to appear in early 90s card magazines.

It was used to aid in finding out if a card was centered properly.

Apparently, you would slide the card inside a device which looked like an over sized toploader which had a whole bunch of measurements printed on it.

I couldn't imagine dealers back then being happy with a customer taking out a card and puttung it through this device though.

It's not like a toploader; it's just a clear piece of plastic:

The four small circles on the sides are actually small nubs that protrude on the back (underside).

You place a card on the table, then place the Judge over it. Align the four sides of the card with the outer-most edges of the red lines (because of the small nubs, the Judge doesn't touch the card if you don't want it to):

As you can see, this Nathan is off-center top-to-bottom.
I have no idea why I still have this thing in a box, but I do! LOL

So I got a kick out of this because of where you were to send orders to- Sioux Falls, SD. Just curious, how many people have actually heard of this growing city? I'm just curious because many people down here in Western Nebraska have no clue what I'm talking about when I talk about it
