In all reality I think you get what you pay for...a scan. It is the buyers responsibility to aquire all knowledge about the card before making payment/trade. Especially with high end raw Chrome cards you should ALWAYS inquire about any surface flaws, edges, markings, etc. first, I know I definitely would before shelling out tons of money/high end cards. It only takes another PM to ask for a better scan or the honest quality of the card. After that...its all in the seller/traders hand. Sounds like to me you got the exact card from the exact scan he gave you. I could see the scratch in the original scan...and no I do not have "superman" vision. Even if not I would still cover my bases as a buyer first before starting some thread about a crappy buyer who seems to have done everything the ligit way. Should he have noted the scratch first, probably, but unfortunately it is up to you as the buyer to ask. Tough luck bud...but I have to take the sellers team on this one.

In my day that card was mint. What I'm saying is, a lot of people would have a lot of different opinions of that card. Calling the trader a crook over it is a bit harsh. And believe it or not, a lot of people don't even look that closely at their cards. When I get stuff in the mail or from wherever, I scan it right away and then it goes in a box somewhere. All I usually look at after that is the scan except maybe once a month and heck the lighting is low where I store my cards so I woulda missed that scratch myself. How long has the trader been a member?
so the answer is to just pass it off to someone else?

once again info on the member is not important i left him appropriate feedback and those that deal with him can form their own oppinions.

Where did I say anything about passing it off on someone else? I just said I'd be happy with it but I guess I collect for different reasons, and that is completely fine. I just think you need to take a deep breath before you assume someone is trying to rip you off. And info on the member IS important. What exactly is "appropriate" feedback for someone who immediately offered you a refund?

you can see the scratch best where my arrows are and when i took it out of the dingy penny sleeve he mailed it in it was clear as day

i really dont understand why i send first to someone i feel is dishonest. i paid first then he sent why is it different now?

remember i have named no names so i can refer to this dirtbag any way i want

yes im angry i dont normally act like this

no, you can't

Be an adult about the situation and show some class.

let me get this strait i buy a card pay first card is damaged as stated and im the bad guy for having the"class" to not name names

maybe i should have left out the back story

i would really just like the help i asked for if anyone will still give it to me

i guess noone understands the frustration i feel especially with the whole send first thing

calling a man a thief when he hasn't stolen anything from you is out of line and classless.

i really dont understand why you continue to defend the nameless one
AND feel the need to call me childish and classless for telling my story and calling a nameless member a thief and a dirtbag

I for one do not examine chrome cards I pull.. I put them in a soft sleeve/ hard sleeve and then they go in a box..

If the seller is offering you a refund, then take it. If you don't take the refund, and you sell the card on EBAY, and then you lose some $$ on the deal, then you have only yourself to blame.

I have sold cards to members here and had them tell me after they got the card there was a crease(roller crease). I didn't see the crease when I put the card in to ship it to him. I promptly refunded his money, and ended up losing $$ along the way as I sold the card for $80 instead of $100.. (Longoria Chrome Auto)..

Now when I sell cards, expecially chrome, I make sure to tell the buyer, that I do not grade cards and the card I am sending came straight out of a pack and into a sleeve..

Not everyone is a dirtbag as you claim..

Once again, take the refund and use the money to buy another one..

Good luck,

Is this a joke you expect him to refund you before you mail back the card? Buy a TV from best buy and try to get a refund without bringing it back.

what really really is starting to piss me off about crap like this is whats the difference these days
for that card raw or graded 9.5? 30.00?? whooppeeee doooo. people are driving me nuts with this. It is a beautiful blue ref auto, i dont see any scratch and im sure the seller missed it too. I never grade cards, could give a crap, so if i pull a good card, i sleeve it, topload it and list or keep it. I dont put it under a microscope to see if a gnat pissed on it. Jesus, stop whining, guy offered a refund, so take it or shut up .

What you see is what you get when you buy raw - there is ZERO obligation for him to disclose any "flaws" he is either aware or not aware of. ESPECIALLY if you didn't even bother to ask. Cards come like that from the factory.

How can anyone BUY cards and not examine them before they BUY them? Not trying to sound like a D-bag but you are continuing to eat your words bud. Especially adding in the fact he has offered you a refund...that is a generous offer on its own.

"There are no physical flaws absolutely at all. " <-- lying

Letting the buyer inspect a scan to his satisfaction. Letting buyer pay (a sign of his satisfaction. Offering full refund after buyer becomes unhappy for not seeing a flaw. <-- not lying.

Eh...reminds me of the Blake Beavan Blue ref. auto I got on ebay for like $70 and some change.Sucker had two small scratches that ran parallel to each other near the top.Maybe about 3/8" long each.Nothing horrible but noticeable.I never even mentioned it to the seller.I was just happy to keep the card because its never going anywhere.

If your buying to grade or your hoping to flip and are worried about damage...make sure to ask .I am not trying to flame anyone but seriously...if these are your reasons for buying then make a habit of asking beforehand.Otherwise I am sure your going to find example after example of flawed cards. There are only so many people who open their cards and inspect each one and take the greatest care to preserve every possible gem like quality they may posses.I would guess that this is a very small amount of people and if your banking on everyone or at least a good percentage of people doing this...don't hold your breath. In fact every card I open from a pack probably has a finger print on it.But I guess that's just how I collect. :?

Actually I think him offering a refund of some sorts is a noble thing
He could have said you must have scratched and told you to stick it.

I hope he see this and tells you your being an ****** by the way your handling this matter.

And if it was me I would just keep the card, but you said you want to sell it now, even after your
getting a refund, how about you ask for a full refund and return it to the person who sold it to you.

So that way you can sleep at night. Really this is a scratch on a card that is hardly noticeable, from what
I can see and your getting all up in arms over it and acting childish.

Man when does Spring Break ends so the kids can go back to school where they belong this time of the year.
