As an interesting note, the 'raw' Bronko Nagurski card ([ebay:1al1a2j8]170447265578[/ebay:1al1a2j8]) featured in the article has been withdrawn from auction after approaching the $2,000 mark.
The seller added a comment:

I can not tell for 100% certain it is original but it does not indicate anywhere on it that it is a reprint and the card dealers we took it to obviously thought it was original.
