A new idea for the transactions forum

I dont get it, all this for a simple solution list the cards you are selling or trading and the search works. I think a far worse problem in the transaction forum is the constant bumping and the people posting 1 word answers such as TTT and CMB.

A simple solution, searching? How does that help? Maybe if someone lists the exact specifics on each card, but most of the time traders look for what catches their eye, not an exact card. I do not ever see using the search function to trade.

As I said earlier if people listed the cards it wouldnt be a problem. Instead they rather have everyone else do their work searching through poorly organized buckets looking for one players card.

all it would take is listing it like this

I have for trade/sale
2008 UD XXXXXXXXXXXXX auto
2007 topps xxxxxxxxxxxxx gu

I find it way more annoying that there are a billion topics in there that look like this

Subject: GREAT CARDS FOR TRADE HOF AUTO GU MORE

you open the page and see

CMB

now you have to fish through 700 crappy gu's no one wants to get to the 1 yogi berra auto and of course they will bump it 15 times in 5 days since no one pm'ed them.

Makes enough sense. I think I will start listing my threads like that.

When he says vets - its not just vintage which i think a lot of people are thinking - the "vets" incorporates all cards that aren't prospects. He is calling for the transactions forum to be separated into 2 forums - one for prospecting, the other for everything else.

I too gave up trading on this site for non-prospects because they either get buried or prospectors offer their prospects. It really turns you off when you cant find anything but prospect threads, but I know there are still loads of people who would want to trade star/vintage/90's cards. Those are my thoughts.
