If i were you i would just go with 1 inscripition, like someone else mentioned it will look too crowded on a card. If you are getting his RC signed, i would go with a rookie themed inscription. Maybe its just me but i think the 500 hrs inscription on his rookie will look dumb. Go with the MLB debut or better yet because it can work with AROD (cant work for very many rookie cards), get him to put "1993 #1 Draft pick" on the card. I think that would be cool since it makes sense being on his RC.

If you would like my opinion I would skip gettng Arod & Get A 1992 GCL Team Set Jeter signed. Thats what I'm doing. Arods pop up every few months on ebay & the best part about ii is that they are his full auto (rookie sig). You might have to spend $$300 to get it but its much better the A & R that Arod signs now.

Best regards!

Definitely go with the Staedtler Lumocolor pen. You can find them at most art supplies stores. Because you plan to have inscriptions, review ARod's writing style and how the spacing between letters will look on a card. Most look best with a Medium tip. However, Matt Macri for example tends to bunch his letters together and thus the Fine point (first pic) looks better than a Medium point (second pic).

Example of an auto w/inscription using a Medium point.

Get couple of common 94 SP rookies and test it yourself. Sign your name, add an inscription, let it set for a minute then give it the rub test. Use different pens, and see for yourself what works best.
Was going to post the exact same thing, Greg! :)

Ideas for inscriptions I was looking for. I wanna try the fine point because I like a thin sig on the card like his 97 buybacks, and since I already paid for the 2 inscriptions I wanna try to let it look less bunched up. I like the 1993 #1 Draft Pick, Maybe that and the Mlb Debut, or maybe a Stat? still looking for an idea

Medium Lumoculor blue steadler. If you can't track one down in time, pm me. As far as the inscription, i'd do something short so it isnt too cluttered and try to do something that is an original or unique stat to Alex.

Why don't you do a simple "A-Rod" as your first inscription and his MLB Debut date as the second one.

A-Rod is widely known as his nickname so it would be cool for him to add that and his MLB Debut kinda goes hand in hand with his RC being signed.

I would do that if I were you.

Right, but I think in these "private" signings, he give his "full" auto...so at the bottom, he can just write "A-Rod" in print...sorta cool IMO.

Have you confirmed that Arod will indeed sign his rookie cards? I know KGJ won't.

I don't see why he would, only because he's signed these in the past prior for UD and there have been numerous other signed copies IP or otherwise. Don't think it should be a problem
