I just picked up this incredible Ruth cut. I've had a few dozen Ruth autos in my day, but this one blows them all away. It's already PSA/DNA'd, I'm sending it in to be graded & encapsulated. My fingers are crossed, I can't imagine a more perfect Ruth signature.

...the dirty ol' man in me was thinking I was going to see a nice pic of Kate Upton in this thread, however, the HOF auto collector in me was most excited to see the Ruth auto. That's a beaut!! Congrats!!

Holy hell that's crisp. I wonder where it's been stored all these years. Do you have any back story on it?

Story...let's see. I don't know the exact details, but I do know that it came from a scrapbook full of players' autos from that era. I saw the Cy Young that came ffrom the same book. The paper is so white that it looks new, none of the browning or yellowing you typically see on such dated stock. I love the old fountain pen autos, the way the thickness increases and decreases with the angle of the pen. I did pay quite a bit for this auto, but it was so pretty that I just couldn't resist. Plus it already had the full psa/dna letter, so there was no risk involved involving authenticity.

Any reason you think it's 9 quality Brian?
