Aaron Cook to Boston, Josh Beckett to skip a start.

Official move hasn't been made. Likely demoting Iglesias on Saturday.

The Boston Red Sox will promote righthander Aaron Cook from Class AAA to start Saturday in place of righthander Josh Beckett, according to WEEI.com.

Manager Bobby Valentine said only that Beckett is feeling stiffness after throwing 126 pitches in his most recent start Sunday. It isn’t clear whether Beckett will be skipped or simply pushed back a day or two.
On Tuesday, Cook exercised a clause in his contract that he must be promoted to the Red Sox’s 25-man roster by May 1. At that time, Boston had 48 hours to call him up, trade him or release him.
Cook has impressed in five Class AAA starts, going 3-0 with a 1.89 ERA in five starts.
In 18 games (17 starts) for the Colorado Rockies last season, Cook went 3-10 with a 6.03 ERA. In his best season, Cook was 16-9 with a 3.96 ERA for the Rockies in 2008.
