...and it is practically the same ******* design as last year. Crap. I was hoping for a revamp, or at least for them to get rid of the stupid ass event used footballs in the cards, but alas, no dice. Its almost like Donini is taking a vacation this year. No design upgrades at all.

The few subsets that have gotten new designs are so busy I dont know where to look. Too bad, they really needed a strong showing.

Agreed about no design upgrades. However, and this is more a possible explanation than a defense, it's possible that they didn't have the time after the acquisition to give this set the love it deserves. Personally, I didn't like the RPM rookie cards last year and it's pretty much the same thing this year. The two sets I'd be more interested in, Tools of the Trade and the jumbo patches, do have a different look from last year. I enjoyed the holofoil they were using before, but I'll reserve judgement until I see some cards from the set in person.

I have no problem keeping the same design over multiple years, but i'd like to see it as a living set then.

Totally agree. It is a matter of time before they all look like one from one of the previous years when it comes to all makes and models so to speak. How much can you do to a small piece of cardboard.

I also must note that changing things up isn't really Donruss' strong suit. I'll probably still buy a couple singles from the set though.
