8 strikeouts in 8 games sounds about right

I will take a strikeout a game for a guy who will get on base more than half the time.

That line and you are going to rip him for 8 Ks?

Nope. I was being facetious since I like Adam Dunn, but that is the biggest knock on him (besides defense). I will take a K a game when he is producing like that and hass 11 walks in that time.

he plays for the nats.........who cares

I do.

BECAUSE.... At least he isn't on the Yankees or Red Sox. There are a TON of baseball fans who don't give a **** about boston or new york and they are shoved down our throat. Why can't great baseball be played in Washington? Why can't we recognize a great playing and the stat line he has just because he isn't in new york, boston, chicago, or LA? I would think a TRUE BASEBALL fan has his/her eyes open to the entire league, and loses the strict focus on their team, and the hype surrounding it....

While Adam Dunn is off to a great start, it seems kind of selfish to point out his personal statistics fact when his team has started 1-7.

I'd rather see him on the Yankees and the Red Sox - at least then, his stats would actually mean something.

Baseball is an individual sport masquerading as a team.

I'm glad someone else posted this. I am a huge fan and the guy is way underrated. People put way too much emphasis on Ks and BA.

While the Nats are off to a pretty bad start, Dunn is obviously doing all he can to try and help them win. His stats are far from meaningless. I just hope he can keep his BA up this year. It would be nice to see him raise it some because his OPS+ would be through the roof.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, a guy who puts up 40 HRs/100 RBIs/100 BBs/100 Runs and an OBP of .380+ consistantly could play for me any day. I don't care if his career BA is .247 of if he Ks 180 times or not.

So i guess we should just get rid of about 10 teams?

Oh and the Yanks and Red Sox have not started off to hot either this season.

So Ken Griffey Jrs stats with the Mariners didnt mean anything?

ken girffey jr already has established him self as a top player playing with loaded teams in his first stint with seatle, and i never said they started off hot, im just saying he can hit 60 home runs and wont get much recognition because he plays with the nats and in my oppinon it is his fault because he had a chance to take a little less and play in a place were his talents would be seen.

He'll get the recognition. Baseball does exist outside of New York and Boston.

i agree, im a tigers fan even though everyone seems to assume im a yanks fan because of my sig and the fact that i like arod, im just saying the nats are probably the worst team to pick out of all of them

I agree, the Nats are far and away the worst team in baseball. But Adam Dunn is providing hope for a bright future in DC so i wouldnt call his stats worthless.
