I respect the bump here. He was certainly adamant back in January, and so far he looks brutally wrong. Keep it going through the season and we'll see who is right.

The truth hurts Sox fans.

Heck, they probably saw this thread and were hoping they had just traded for Gonzalez.

 I know I did. To be fair, vwnut has every reason to gloat right now. The Red Sox have looked atrocious thus far and the Yanks have pounded them into the cement. As much trolling as he has done in the past, vwnut was perfectly justified in bumping this thread.

vwnut13 - You don't like the moves the Red Sox have made, and you think they will be worse off because of it. Here's your chance to prove you are more than just a homer. My $400, to your $150, the Red Sox in 2010 will post a greater run differential, then they did in 2009. Simple. Put your money where your mouth is, or shut your mouth.

Per baseballguy350's request to post this in this thread,

The Red Sox run differential is at -18.
The Yankees run differential is at +73.

Oh yeah, and Beltre looks GREAT at third. Gold glove I tell you. Only seven errors thus far.

I forgot that the season ended at the beginning of May this year? Also, he didn't request you to gloat a month into the season when you were right. He asked you to put your money where your mouth is. I don't recall seeing you accept his bet or making a counter bet that you would consider suitable for the boards. You also fail to acknowledge Beltre is batting .327 with 17 RBI's. Not sure how many runs the 7 errors have produced against the Red Sox, but he is making up for it right now with his bat. I love it when morons like you feel the need to beat their chests when they a correct a fifth of the way through a VERY LONG season. Congrats! Pat yourself on the back and go have a cold beer, you showed all of us!

Guys Guys Guys, at this point last year the Yankees were buried and were getting POUNDED in the media. Do we forget so quickly? It is EXTREMELY early. Shoot, the Rays could run away with it and laugh at both of your teams. But I think all three teams will finish within 4 games of leader when the season ends.

No reason to get too excited or to down on your team. We aren't even 20% of the way through the season yet!
