Advice on Selling Jeter

Hello all. It's been quite a while.

I have (100) 1993 Topps Derek Jeter RC's in NM/MT condition sitting on my desk. My question is...at what point this season do I sell? I'm guessing near his last game of the season when all eyes are on him? And if I were to list them on eBay, would it be best to list them individually, in lots of 10..25?

I do realize his '93 Topps card isn't his most valuable rookie card, but I think it would still be nice to cash in what I have. Any advice would be appreciated.

Looks like they're selling for around $6-$8 each.

I'd put half $7 BIN, and the other half in 5-card lots for $30 ($6 ea).

With 100 copies, you're bound to have at least a few really nice ones. I'd consider grading a few as well, as PSA 10s go for over $100.

Put a 100 card lot up on auction. Youll get the most money for it that way. Many buyers will be bidding on that lot and create a nice bidding war.

I've decided to take your advice. I'll be listing a 100 card lot later in the season when the Derek Jeter coverage hits its peak around his last game at Yankee Stadium. I'll let you know how it goes.

Good luck with the sale--I did something similar a stack of about 40 Jeter rookies earlier this year. The per-card average was higher when I sold them as a lot which was interesting.

I think this should be the case and am stunned when people argue otherwise. Consider the alternative:

- Buy 1 copy and pay $2-$3 s/h PER copy, take the time to bid on/snipe/win 100 separate copies, i.e. have 100 separate transactions, etc.

Even if I'm buying 10, $100 cards I'd be more willing to pay $1,100 for a lot of 10, for example
