The first two names I'll be adding to this poster will be Randy Johnson and Roberto Alomar. Both are appearing an a NJ show next month, put on by MAB Celebrity.

This is a very reputable promoter, but I'm still fitful over the idea of it being mishandled.

I'll post my success as soon as it returns. Wish me luck!

Seriously though, I'm pretty confident things will go smoothly. It's more or less a test run before Cooperstown.

I picked this up last year through Huggins & Scott. It was consigned by longtime hobbyist Ron Post.

No way in hell I would send that out. Absolutely no way! Just hold it until you see them in person. Would it be worth it to lose it? This has nightmare written all over it. The odds of it getting there, signed where you want it in the color you want it, not getting damanged, not getting stolen, and getting it back?!?! Not sure why you're seriously thinking about this.

Hmm, I've had previous success with MAB, but granted, it was never anything like this.

So long as it's properly insured with tracking, I'm not seeing the huge risk others are. I'm thinking at worst there'll be another small tear or the players don't sign it exactly where I asked. As far as having it outright stolen/destroyed, I don't typically dwell on "what if" scenarios. What if my house burned to the ground tomorrow? What if I slip on the ice on the way to work tomorrow and break my neck?

Unfortunately, I live way off the regular sports show circuit, so my only other option would be to find a reputable board member who'll be attending the show and can look after it on my behalf.

Is anyone planning on attending?

There is no way in hell I would send that to MAB. There are a few promoters on sportscollectors I would send that to that get the autos for the MAB shows.

Damage is always a possibility but they would have to be daft to steal it as I suspect that is as close to a one of a kind item it'd be easily found on secondary market as very little theft of that magnitude would be to place it in thiefs pc.
