Not to be a downer, but I'm not really interested in much of anything prospect based. I'm really hoping for stuff like, museum collection, tier one, etc.

Not to be a downer either but BC has a lot of vets and was hoping we could do a mix of heritage/topps chrome/bowman chrome/Ginter/Bowman draft and not just the veteran heavy stuff.

And Museum is 1700 for 6 boxes, Tier one is $760 for 6 boxes=18 cards BC is $734 for 12 boxes.

I think it should be a mixture of products one prospectish and next veteranish that way it is fair to everyone.

Been good man, still going strong with the M's collection and adding to the Marlins one here and there but most of the card money goes to the hometown M's.

@prospectorgems
I wasn't the guy will all those Adam Jones though I know who you're talking about but the name escapes me right now as well. One of the top 3 worst trades ever for us but I still collect him. I've used the same username since the good old days on BMB but once they changed the boards to the current format I never went back. I was more active on here in the beginning but the boards turned to 90% prospect threads so I left but I have been lurking this year.

I just remember your name being tied in as a Mariners fan so that's probably where that came from. I do agree however that it was one of the worst trades the Mariners did. I remember back when I followed the team and they got rid of Jose Cruz Jr for some crap relievers at the time. Glad to have you in this group. Hope you get some nice cards.

I too am looking for a mix of new and old.

I love Gypsy Queen - but would also like to see us start with BC.

If people want to pass on DP&P, that is fine. I'd like to do the basic topps product as well...starting to sound like a poll of those who have claimed teams may be in order.

Hoping we can mix DP&P after BC maybe go BC veteran veteran and DP&P

That would work for me. I like DP&P...but I know it is not for everyone. As long as we find a balance we will be OK - and remember...if someone really dislikes a product, they can pass.

I didn't necessarily mean go back and specifically buy that product, just that type of product. Sounds like people do want some chromish type stuff and that's fine. Let's just try to spread them out, as I don't plan on spending a fortune on that kind of stuff. If I need to withdraw from the group for that reason that's fine too. I don't want to hold up what the group wants.

If ever need a break when it hits prospect month I can possibly help ya out and take them over and give them back.

I honestly would love to see prospect products be 40-50% of the break

what about products like Panini? Or do we want to stick to licensed stuff only?

As I wrote my posts last night I was thinking about this...you are psychic.

My preference is licensed, but that being said, I do buy Leaf (as you know) and Panini from time to time.

I am open to them as an occasional change of pace, but not the norm. And, only after the required price lock period is over - it seems to drop significantly after the authorized dealer lock up expires.

I agree, even Team USA sets, $100 min, is just stupid.

I agree w/ all of this as well. If the drop in price is usually correct, we should wait, unless something looks spectacular. Is that usually the case w/ price Andrew?

For Panini products, I really havent paid much attention.

Being a cert breaker, I am not sure what rules I have to follow. Lets take USA for example. My cost is $75 and the min is $100. Being a breaker, I am not sure if I can break at $80-$90, as I am not "reselling it"

Last question comment, I promise, I think.....lol. I'm not sure what this comment is referring to:

Painin has rules some crazy rules.

I had to become a Certified Case Breaker with them to be able to buy their product wholesale. Otherwise I would have to wait buy from online stores like BO and ATL. Which have to wait 1 or 2 weeks after a product hits B&M's to ship.

The rules state "All Product has to be broken down for selling singles" & "No Selling of Unopened Boxes & Cases will be permitted"

Here is a link to the app I had to fill out

I have zero interest in prospect cards but I do realize they need to be included to make the breaks work but for me, the fewer the better. Panini is a borderline product for me since it's unlicensed but does include some vets. I'd still buy in most of the time but would probably pass on anything Leaf (current era).

Under the Panini rules, isn't that really how it's being done, you're breaking down all boxes and selling singles, albeit in bulk.
