True it doesn't look good but im not pulling my pitch fork out yet. No reason to do something so obvious that could ruin the credibility of his company. I'll reserve judgement until I hear what he says.

BG isn't stupid. He knows how critical people are of him and his business. There's no way he'd think that a fake would make it by without notice. My guess is with those that say it was probably purchased from the person who faked it.

I think the auto was removed so a Kevin Durant UD sticker could be placed there instead.

Not to split hairs but.......Aitx, a BG owned company, sold an altered/faked Autograph.

Would be fun to discovered if Aitx bought #309 via the ebay auction listed in worthpoint. Feedback tracking?

Wow this is so unfortunate, I really don't like many of his products, as they seem to be coming out in a flurry. Love that he brought the name back into the hobby, but looks like this could take it right back out of the hobby. I do know he buys quite a lot from dealers. I was present for one of these deals and overheard quite a few things that disgusted me. i.e. You give me this and I will give you that type of stuff.

A long time passed between that Worthpoint sale and BG's auction. Unless he was the buyer for that December 2011 eBay purchase, it is entirely plausible that he purchased the card after it had been faked.

It is 5 am and my wife is wondering why I am popping microwave popcorn. If she only knew....if she only knew.

This is not time for logic. This is the time to be going through your barn and finding your best pitchfork and making your finest torch.

I do like that we're guessing answer so if it's the answer you can dismiss it...

Guys... I was notified by eBay that this item was removed. Now that I have seen it with my own eyes, I agree the card sucks..

I buy MASSIVE amounts of cards on the market.. When we submit to Beckett, they return any rookies that do not make minimum grade (on chrome, that's 9)..

We then sell these on eBay as they do not to our products' parameters...

We bought this card as it presently sits.. We never saw the previous incarnation.. Do you really think I would waste time and get ripped off on person buying a $200 card?

The card is being destroyed (ill post a picture of the torn card today)...

Now, with that being said, I am thoroughly disgusted by the title of this thread. It is libelous, defamatory and basically a total dick move to post that I am faking autographs.

I know many advanced collectors who have bought and resold cards within issues without knowing... Should we call all of those guys fakers when they were in fact victims.

Bottom line, I am disappointed we bought a bad card and I am more disappointed we missed that the autograph issue when it was returned.

I am most disappointed at the "lynch mob" and irresponsible attacks on my honesty.

I merely ask that people use some intelligence not make false statements without checking out the facts first. Harm can be done by this sort of bull and there can be serious consequences for this sort of irresponsible attack.

Clearly I was not.
I think this was bought at 2012 national.

I love how everyone is so quick to try and attack Brian and jump to the worst possible conclusion whenever his name is mentioned. I mean even the title of this thread is ridiculous, if not libelous. You guys really think he's going to risk his entire company and reputation by selling a fake auto for a couple hundred bucks. Does that really make sense? Doesn't it make more sense that maybe one of the tens of thousands of cards he purchased turned out to be fake unbeknownst to him or that there is some other more logical explanation? I also can't stand all the innuendo and bs with people spreading rumors or claiming they overheard something he said. If you are going try and insinuate bad things or bash the guy at least have the balls to say what you exactly heard or provide the source and proof you have for these rumors. I think the guy at least has that right.

Easy way out then Brian - Let's see the BGS forms & their reason for not giving the card a 9? Obviously you thought it would get the 9 if you (really) sent it to them....

Welcome to the party. Better late than never!

And, yes. BG should read the thread - despite how many people feel about him or his business, they don't think he'd be dumb enough to knowingly sell fakes... much less make them.
