MY expectations.

Never liked the guy and wasnt thriled when the Yanks signed him. When the contract was announced, I pictured him thinking "have they actually looked at my stats?"

His childish attitude is finally coming out. If he doesnt get that big strike because the ump thinks its a ball, he implodes.

And tonight, another example. Hes having...another.....bad game and hes legtting his mind wander when a shot goes down the line when the MVP..I mean, Teixeira, dives, knocks down the ball and tosses to first. Problem is Burnett is on the mound when he should be covering first. Typical.

That leads to a hit and a three run shot by Luke Scott. Implosion. Again, typical.

I rarely complain about players on any board but once in a while a player really "grinds my gears" and AJ is the one. A guy whose numbers shpuld be MUCH BETTER because he's got the stuff in the arm, but not in the head.

I cant really say that I disagree with anything except for Teixeira winning the MVP.

I doubt Tex will get MVP. However, I really enjoy watching him play.

I would NOT want this guy pitching a game two in any playoff series. At this point the playoff rotation has to go CC, Pettitte, ??????????? Joba and AJ seem interchangeable at this time.

Burnett is a very good pitcher and a lot of people don't seem to realize that. He is going through a funk, but yet his secondary stuff is filthy. When he is healthy he is one of the best pitchers in baseball. Do I think he was worth the money he got? Of course not. He is solid and what did he do against Boston on August 7th against Beckett? That was the best pitching dual this year. Say what you want, but Burnett is no slouch.

And next week, when he pitches another 1-2 hitter with 10k's, I'll see a AJ was a great pick-up thread. :?

Yankees fans are all the same. A joke, like my pal Boomo.
