Cabrera is now only 4 HRs shy of the triple crown now that he is tied in RBI with Hamilton, and AVG with Trout. 4 HRs is gonna be tough to get, and not likely. I hope he pulls it off though. It would be fun to see someone get it for the first time in 45 years.

Why do you think 4 hr is going to be tough? That is only like 1 every 5 days, surely within reach.

if you watched cabrera everyday you would know why, hes not a homerun hitter, he hits to all parts of the field and shortens his swing to hit singles when need be, not to mention he plays at comerica park (no doubt in my mind he would take the triple crown if he played in a hitters friendly ballpark) and what a jinx he has k'd 3 times tonight, dont think i have ever seen him do that

I hope he gets it, but 4 HRs will be tough. Especially with Dunn and Hamilton.

I don't think it's going to happen, but the fact that we're even talking about this so deep into the season shows how good this guy is.

And the funny thing is you can pretty much expect it from him...we've been speculating during each of the last few seasons about whether he'd be able to take the triple crown.

That's true. Hopefully one of these years he can pull it off. I have a feeling next season is going to be a huge year for both him, and Fielder. Having V-Mart back is going to do wonders for both of them.
