Great question. I could get you an exact number tomorrow probably but I'd have to say I averaged 3 a week in 2013. That's a total guess but I bet I acquired 150 cards I needed this year.

If Topps stoops placing him in products, it'll slow down drastically. But that's my guess.

It usually comes in batches though. Five cards here. Ten cards there. Bought out a few Belle guys this year, so that helped. Owning 89% of all cards makes it tough to get anything new but I have two cards incoming as we speak, so there are cards I need.

(Sorry for the long winded response but appreciate the question!)

Thanks for the detail! Are most of the ones you tend to buy more recent releases, then? When I discount recent releases with Gomes, the last card I bought that I needed was in April of 2012---and before that, October of 2009. With his new releases (48 so far this year, 18 last year), though, I tend to have a spate of packages awaiting me when I go home.

How many 1/1s does Belle have (and does the 89% include them)?

Albert Belle has 151, 1/1s on his checklist and I have 44 of them or approx. 29% of them all. Yes, these are included in the outstanding cards in my total.

Actually I include all cards recognized by Beckett, so what's most interesting, and one reason why I've always considered 90% to be 100% in my mine of his cards outstanding is....

of the 303 cards of his that I don't have, 107 are 1/1s and 120 are either 1998 Topps Tek diffractors or 1999 Topps Tek Golds. Once you layer in the printing plates I don't have, then you're already well over 75% of the cards I need outstanding being extremely difficult to track down. Just fun numbers.

As you can imagine, my checklist is very detailed and there are statistics layered into it. I guess you can say I have a lot of free time or rather I've just had the checklist for a long time and have been continually adding to it with different attributes.

Thanks for all the questions.

PS - I have two cards that I need incoming as we speak ;)
