I love how its a 3-0 count and the pitcher's thinking he just needs to get a strike across the plate, then Albert just tees off for a dinger off the upper deck. Man he's fun to watch

Average MLB Pitchers are dumb if they think they can get him out. You walk him unless you have stuff like lincecum, verlander, haren, etc....

Here is my current list of every team's pitchers who could not possibly be considered a "AAA pitcher." Some guys may be up in age or less effective than they once were, but have still proven themselves as pretty reliable major league starters. Some have been hit around this year but still are capable with a track record to fall back on.

Boston - Beckett, Lester, Wakefield, Smoltz, Penny, Matsuzaka
NY Yankees - Sabathia, Burnett, Chamberlain, Pettitte
Tampa Bay - Garza, Shields, Kazmir, Niemann
Toronto - Halladay, Romero
Baltimore - Bergesen, Guthrie

Detroit - Verlander, Jackson, Galarraga, Porcello
Chicago White Sox - Danks, Buehrle, Floyd, Contreras
Minnesota - Baker, Slowey, Perkins, Blackburn
Kansas City - Greinke, Meche
Cleveland - Lee

L.A. Angels - Lackey, Weaver, Santana, Saunders
Texas - Millwood, Padilla
Seattle - Hernandez, Bedard, Washburn
Oakland - Braden (Cahill and Anderson could easily be in AAA on another team)

AL count = 41

Philadelphia - Hamels, Moyer, Happ, Blanton
Atlanta - Vazquez, Lowe, Jurrjens, Hanson, Kawakami
Florida - Johnson, Volstad, Nolasco
NY Mets - Santana
Washington - Lannan

St. Louis - Carpenter, Wainwright, Pineiro, Lohse
Chicago Cubs - Lilly, Zambrano, Harden, Dempster, Wells
Houston - Oswalt, Rodriguez
Milwaukee - Gallardo
Cincinnati - Cueto, Harang, Volquez, Arroyo
Pittsburgh - Maholm, Duke

LA Dodgers - Billingsley, Kershaw, Wolf, Kuroda
San Francisco - Lincecum, Cain
Colorado - Jimenez, Cook, Marquis
Arizona - Haren, Scherzer, Davis, Garland, Webb (injured)
San Diego - Peavy, Young (both injured)

NL Count = 46

You may disagree with my opinion, but the difference isn't as grand as you may think.

It was awesome seeing Clay Zavada pitch last night against the Cardinals. Dude`s stache is rockin! He is a former Frontier League member playing for the Southern Illinois Miners, which is just 20 miles south of me. Thought Pujols took him deep for his 3rd of the night, but only had WTP, lol. Pujols is tha bawss!

This is the year Pujols wins the Triple Crown, the first since Carl Yastrzemski in 1967.

More importantly, he could be the first in the NL since Medwick in 1937

Although I disagree about him winning a triple crown, purely because I believe talent is too wide spread in MLB for this to happen anymore, I do agree with the sentiment that he is putting together one of the finest offensive seasons in modern baseball. Furthermore, this will be the season he will become a household name like bonds, Big Mac or Arod. Despite his awesome carear thus far, he has yet to break the surface of legendary and have people who know nothing about baseball know his name. This all changes this year.

I was really enjoying watching Pujols hit last night. His 2nd HR just rocketed up to the upper deck.
It even made me forget this was against the D-backs and it was a bad thing to be hitting HR's. Oh well, dude can hit!
