What do you guys think of Noonan? I pulled a few nice cards from my draft cases. Otherwise, I would not have any....I guess there are other players on my radar ahead of him. Thoughts?

Right now all I know is what I've read. Second baseman of the future for San Francisco. Outstanding situational hitting skills, compact swing, balanced direct to the ball, gap power, above average speed, yada yada.

I'd hold onto what you have at least for the first half of this season.

I'd say Utley light - maybe 70-80% of his offensive production. Still an excellent ballplayer.

Thanks for the input....like I said, he was not a target so I really didn't put any time into researching his potential.

Similar story in today's Organization Report: Cal League Juggernaut from baseballamerica.com.
The Giants tentatively plan for all five of their top prospects, and six of their top seven, to start the year with high Class A San Jose.
Tim Alderson and Madison Bumgarner #1 and #2 in the rotation with Buster Posey as the battery mate.

Angel Villalona at first base. Nick Noonan at second. Conor Gillaspie at third.

That's three 1st round draft picks and two supplemental 1st round picks. Or $13,475,750 in signing bonuses.

:D :D :D

Lots 'O fun.
